2025-11-03 06:20:16 +0000 UTCThis makes for a great double feature with Cool Runnings about the Jamaican bobsled team from that Olympics too (1988 Winter Olympics to be specific.) That was such a fascinating year for the games.- year of the underdogs that won hearts all over the world.

2025-10-28 18:21:39 +0000 UTCIt's kinda wild to think that the Jamaican bobsled team and Eddie the Eagle were hanging out in the same Olympic Village in Calgary in 1988. It's also funny having Taron and Hugh together in this, because this was right around the time when people were talking about Taron as a potential replacement for Hugh as Wolverine (especially since his height is closer to Logan's in the comics and he can clearly kick ass on screen).
