The first of the Jake Bartok Jedi swords is here - Phantom Menace Obi-Wan! It uses the same 5/16" diameter rod down the center for support as the Wolffe sword and all swords going forward. I'll also be offering physical kits of the sword including just the blades if you want them printed in one piece but don't have a printer capable of it.
-----------------------------------
Here's a look ahead at some in-progress projects:
Medieval:
Medieval ARC Trooper Helmet
4 more Jedi Swords like this one
Darth Vader Sword
Medieval Boba Fett Helmet
Articulated:
Death Trooper Doll (Similarly wood carved like the ST was)
Clone Trooper Doll (Highly detailed - not wood carved)
Animated figures? - This is one I'm still deciding on, it would be kind of a middle ground between the rough wood carved figures and the highly detailed ones. Imagine a cartoon Master Chief that articulates for example.
Canon:
DC-17M Updates
These I typically only do one at a time but after the DC-17M I feel like doing some more Empire Era weapons and helmets! Maybe with a few Clone Pilot helmets sprinkled in there.
----------------------------------------
As an aside - I've heard some concerns there's not as many canon projects in the works and I'd like to address those concerns now.
I still have a long backlist of canon projects I want to do but due to the reference hunting and accuracy requirements these all take longer to make/test. The custom/artistic works are much easier to make simply because it doesn't need to match anything but this leads me to the point I'd like to make.
Canon projects are not going way or becoming scarcer. I've brought on a few more talented designers that are solely working on Medieval/Custom stuff. I'm working on canon projects the same amount as I have been but am now able to offer more files for different types of projects. If you're wondering why I don't have these new modelers work on canon things it's because all files still go through me for design and approval and I simply don't have the bandwidth to focus on more than one canon project at a time without it suffering in quality. You may see 3-5 custom projects between each canon project but these are bonuses - not replacing anything.
I hope that clears some things up and eases a few minds. There's still many many more things I'd like to make and I appreciate you all following along for the ride!
