Planned release for version 0.16.0.

Hello everyone!

I hope you’ve been enjoying NTR Mobile v0.15 in its entirety. I’m here to share what’s planned for the upcoming update and the release date.

Let me start by saying this upfront: Version 0.16.0 will not be heavily focused on the story. There are a couple of systems and gameplay elements that need to be implemented to allow the story to progress in future updates, particularly v0.17.0. These gameplay elements will give you, the player, more insight into what’s happening behind the scenes and on a broader scale, beyond just Liz. Since we’ve reached a point where multiple plot points are starting to move- and which plot moves depends on the path you’re on -new gameplay mechanics need to be introduced. Some of these systems might even push certain characters in specific directions 😯. That’s why the story progression in v0.16.0 will be minimal, and this trend will likely continue into v0.17.0 as these new gameplay elements are introduced to you.

Another major reason for this is that I’m working on a log system. Liz’s chat has been ongoing for quite some time, and loading 3,000 lines of dialogue into a single chat is starting to take a toll on the game’s performance. If I don’t address this, the game could become unplayable by the time v0.17.0 rolls out. So, I’ll be focusing on a solution for this as well.

Here’s what’s currently planned for v0.16.0:

The release for NTR Mobile v0.16.0 is planned to release on the 16th of March. This will be accompanied by a new free version, but more on that in a separate post.

Now, I’m sure some of you have questions about the short-haired delight. Yes, she will play a bigger role as the story progresses. Yes, she has been planned from the start, but her inclusion will be quite different from what you might expect. You won’t see more of her in the storyline for v0.16.0, her involvement is planned further down the line. Anything else would be spoilers, so I’ll leave it up to you all to discuss in the game discussion chat.

I understand that you need some mechanics to progress your vision, my point is that I just saw this pattern happening before, and 5 updates longs can change into forever which is what I'm afraid of, I still think you are great Dev and game is awesome I just hope that it won't end like with other games I played

@Bruce Either I am misunderstanding your comment or you misunderstood mine. So let me simplify it a bit to avoid confusion... Without the new mechanics, the story can't progress. I should have led with this... 😅

Read his comment again. Nosy said if he doesn't do this now and fills with filler instead it would take until 0.21.0. He's taking care of things now so we don't have to wait that long for real story progression. Edit: based off his comment, less story for 0.16 and 0.17 for real progress in 0.18 most likely. Instead of working on mechanics slower and having to do more filler not getting real progress until 0.21.

Even if Nosy is a model Dev, with one of the best NTR games that very much of us has knowed (At least I feel it like that xD ) we are almost in the 0.16 (Not even we are in that patch yet, the update will be the next weekend) and the story no will continue really until the 0.21, I know the improvements are really necessary (for not to say urgent) but, wait until the 0.21... Is really hard to very much of us (And remember in the 0.15 the story neither had a big amount of progression, adding up the fact Matt did not have much participation in the story of the current patch) That I mean is... Between the 0.18 and 0.19 the story must have some more of progression.

I just want to add that minus the real life issues that caused some delays Nosy has been the most consistent dev I've seen, and he communicates when something is going on or delaying something. I don't think I've seen another dev give as big of updates in 2 week spans with 3-4 routes. Even with the update that he had to rework the systems to work with stats that took 70% of the time he had more content than some other games have had in their updates they spent 3-4+ weeks on.

These mechanics are paramount to the story. As I said in a post some time back, I add functions and game mechanics as the story requires them. There are mechanics that need to be implemented for the story to continue after v0.17.0. which is why this has to be done. Another option would be to just fill it with filler while I slowly work on the new mechanics (which sure would be great to pad and prolong the project) but then the story would not really progress until about v0.21.0. I hope this helps explain why this decision is made. 😁

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed it, I know at least 3 Devs that start from "yes this update will be more about mechanics" and ended up with 10min gameplay update per month

Just dont get too distracted with the small things. Story progression is always paramount. Im also a little worried about story forking into too many threads. It will slow down the progress of each branch severely and I've seen too many games goin this direction with each update providing 10 minutes of gameplay on each path. Keep up the good work.

Oh no, I heard this before.... Each game that I played before, new "mechanics" and improvement were starting to introduce and soon they replaced any story progress :/ and I'm like talking about 3 Devs that did that effectively not progressing story nearly at all each update and made game boring because of it, I hope this won't be a case this time

Sorta what i was thinking too. Load old text as you scroll up. Although once the chat is loaded I at least don't have any issues. Problem is the chat gets reloaded every time you exit chat and then come back. Possible to just load the chat in the background and hide the chat when you exit to say view sharespace, then unhide when you come back to chat so it's not constantly having to reload but always loaded?

about loading dialogue history. is it possible to save them with a timestamp in some database(sqlite for example) and display only the last few messages and load past messages if the player rewinds the chat dynamically?
