Part 1 | Story time

So since it has been a minute, I’ve been unable to post due to having to take a personal pause… this story time is for the public.

But first, lets discuss the elephant in the room—

How do the interview go?

I was was BAITED …

Well, I discovered after all that drawing I did, that was the wrong website. So recap, I don’t remember applying to the job or where I applied for the job. I knew nothing able the company, let alone the position.

Just a mini recap. ( Ya’ll I really thought I want about to be designing somebodies house.. LOL!!)

So, after having another mini panic attack, I was still lose… but, interested. { RED FLAG} 2/11+

• I couldn’t find anything and the one link I did manage to find, mentioned it was sales. So — NOPE.
•  I checked their LinkedIn before assuming it was the interior design, and nuff said.

But once again I was interested. The meeting started and I was not told that this was a group call ( I was completely amused. ) but the man took 7-8 mins tell us this was a marketing managing job. {RED FLAG}

• Not knowing much about marketing for other company’s I remain skeptical - my intuition was on High alert.
• I was chosen out of 100 people ( TOP 30)???
• Why did the job listing I found say it was sales position but you mentioned marketing?!

So, I wasn’t going go, but I already got Offer another interview that same day — so when in Rome.

Quick | SIDE STORY

I really am so grateful for all you all—over the last few months, we’ve been able to work together and build enough inventory to open a soft launch on my shop ( updated link will be HERE! ). Im hoping with this launch and NEW printer, we could try new products over in sample club and vote on mini projects. ( such as prints frames and sticker packs )

But all that and more in part (2)!

Continuing— I was there at 8:15am and once again I was ambushed with a group activity I wasn’t expecting bc I was told this was a 1:1. That went on for almost 1hr and some change and then I was told there was still a 1:1 to be done. So at this point its, 9:36am and then they call on one person to come in. It’s now 10:02am and im like wtf. So I Left. { RED FLAG}

• I got the job still but never did the 1:1
• They kept telling me I was going to be a marketing manager while telling me, I’ll be in Walmarts selling package deals, where after i make enough sales, I could level up with in the company and I would be giving $40k to get make my own company and create my own team and thats how I would be a marketing manager.
• I asked, what was the base percentage I would make off of each package I would sell— ( baiting him after realizing this was a MLM lol) I was never giving answer.
• The work schedule.. wait for it … Mon- sat. And Sunday being option but double pay.
• For a company that is suppose to be about marketing surely does a poor job marketing themselves. All their socials were poorly marketed, abandoned and suspicious.
• The interviewer would  drop f-bombs, and even mentioned how he planned on leaving the company in 3 months after just mention how hers only Been there for 3 month.

The list can continue and the other interview ill mention in part (2) . { That wont be public} but is was a nightmare. The day didn’t end to bad and through I thought I would be crying a bit more after that I managed to hold it pretty well.
