MKIII and more..
Added 2019-02-11 20:06:22 +0000 UTCQuick update on designs! I’ve added the charge port panels to the MKIII folder, virtually done on the core design now. I’m working in secret (well sort of secret) on the 2-3-2 shoulder modules, as expected it’s not easy and I’m on revision 5. Hardest part is the foot locks now I’ve upgraded the motors. I can go the traditional route with linear actuators, but trying to use the best of 3d printing and keeping the cost down (like the omniwheels). Easier to use more expensive components but then they’re not available to all regions and cost more. The next core parts are the centre leg frame and upgraded onmiwheels for the centre leg.. whatch this space.
Happy printing,
Mike,

Shoulders are hard, for my all terrain R2 I followed Drew's advice and fitted a piece of pipe between the shoulders internally which removes so many of the destructive forces. Foot locks is an interesting problem, with 3D printing, often seriously old-school, pre-electricity mechanisms work the best. I scour old engineering books from the Victorian age onwards sometimes when looking for solutions.
