Ach, my apologies, it was this one I had meant to ask about. There's something so unique about this story. Most of the mediums' origin stories I've heard begin just as inexplicably as they end: visions come from nowhere, or blindness gives way to second sight. With the Fox sisters though, it seems closer to home, as though the fantastical edifice they would later come to inhabit were constructed from familiar, homely materials. And then of course, there is the crucial turning point: the decision to interrogate the phenomena. There is something almost anatomical about it, like Harvey's discovery of capillary action. At any rate, I loved this episode, and I'd be immensely grateful to know about the sources that went into it. Thanks so much, for this and for everything!
