News: Serious changes in New Project concept, T.R. Gallery coming soon

Good day, dear Patrons!

Without a shadow of a doubt, I want to say that it was the most productive and most interesting month of work, which radically transformed the concept of a new project. These changes, like any others, had their costs. As practice has shown, I'm not yet ready to implement some of the things that I wanted to show. They turned out to be too time consuming to work with and less interesting than previously seemed to me.

Then it hits me I can do it by the other way, making the project more interactive and more interesting. 

We can say the "real" New Project was born from the project that I have been working on all this time in parallel with T.R.. Thereby first concept of the Project remains on hold, in our piggy bank.

Now the fun part: what are the changes and what is this "New Project 2.0" now?

*Details:

* Some players may have questions related to how comfortable it would be to control character in a 3D platformer moving in all three directions. I know by my own experience that it's sometimes difficult to aim at an enemy or climb on ledge. Working on the character control system, I set a high priority to this moment. It's worth to mention that in process of the game development, certain things that aren't convenient for the players will be improved or changed. I must to know that you enjoy the game, not struggling with game controls.

** Each character has a different story and a different experience (at the beginning you have only one character to play by). The character has her own unique skills, weapons and her own special item as well as common equipment.
During the game progress you may change and upgrade your equipment.
(some things may be changed in future versions).

*** While this project has RPG element, you certainly would have an opportunity to behave and act like what suits you best. Thus, some roads will be opened for you, and others will be closed. Or in other words, something will happen to you that wouldn't have happened in another situation.


At the moment, I'm working on the mechanics of the character control. Then start work with character design (additional hairstyles, clothing, weapons, special items, etc.). After that I switch the work stream to game logic and technical environment for testing. Later, closer to the release of the demo version (or technical demo), a roadmap will be compiled so you can clearly understand the work direction.

Now I cannot tell you everything, the setting and more, because I don't want to promise too much for the beginning, but I want to present to your attention a few images (one**) of a beautiful heroine, with whom you go through the "mysterious rooms".

As you might notice the model is pretty detailed. Don't worry about performance too much!

I have to work on its optimization, which will reduce both the load on the CPU (polygons) and on the GPU (textures).

Neither. As I previously said about T.R. it will be developed by me till the v1.0. First version of "New Project" is still viable, but its time hasn't come yet.

Is this new project in *addition* to T.R. or are you going to cancel T.R.? (T.R. is why I'm here). Your new concept sounds interesting but I'm not a big fan of platformers (having said that, as long as they're not crazy hard, I may be open to it).
