Just Say Nose
Added 2017-04-22 19:11:23 +0000 UTCThe Underburbs universe, outside of a few prominent exceptions, is a largely noseless one. I thought I'd do a few quick sketches to remind myself why. Angela actually came out decent. Winifred could look distinguished if I gave it a little more time, but still is in danger of having a default upturned nose. Because that is the official cartoon feature of the snooty rich girl. Death-Anne's realistic nose-hole sends her cuteness factor straight into the toilet, though.

2017-04-22 23:29:09 +0000 UTCAs a kid I used to draw noses on characters all the time, but they were usually big cartoon honkers. But I didn't like to draw ears for some reason. I would draw the hair around the area where ears were supposed to go, but I probably didn't consistently draw ears on any characters until junior high.

2017-04-22 23:28:57 +0000 UTCyeah i see a lot of people just ignoring noses these days, both professional and personal art. Though it's not like the nose is that dynamic in most things anyway so it's easy not to miss.
