The incredibly literal sound effect in panel 1 is an homage to John Allison's excellent Scary-Go-Round. Also, Demonique's tag is showing. In the center of the page, I made the border fade from black to grey. This was an attempt to signify the transition between scenes at the Morgans' house in Pendleton and the Death Cycle in downtown Underborough. On the left of the bottom panel, there are two actual Halloween costumes worn by Meg (right) and myself (left). Demonique straightening her dress is a nice touch, if I do say so myself. It's a subtle way to undercut her confident, determined expression.
