Loli Surprise

I kinda actually surprised myself this time. While working on a commission for RubberFrills, I did something I rarely do: scrap a partially completed drawing. (See the “P-p-paper?!” post from a week or so ago.) I don’t know if the iPad has made me soft, but I was finding the limitations of paper frustrating. It’s hard to made a detailed Lolita dress on a small, sectioned-off panel on an 8.5”x11”sheet of copy paper. Then I realized how I’d have to scan everything on my old computer, save it a flash drive and open Photoshop on my slightly less old laptop which gets scarily hot now.

That's good to hear... Just recently I decided to transition back to pen & paper for dress drawings because I was taking hours just drawing frilly details on a single dress. If you can resist the desire to go too deep into detail and perfection, that's a level of mastery.

Wise. :)

I’m not planning on going that fine.

Just be careful-- that extra detail is a honey trap. I spent 5+ minutes drawing a lace pattern on some undies only to not notice them at 1500 x 2000 at 72 dpi.
