How Do You Parse Madness?

A quick update for you here. I was in a bit of a Lovecraft mood, which is the good kind of madness. :D

Just a quick reminder about the Development Survey, in case you weren't aware. You can take part here if you're interested.

How Do You Parse Madness?

Comments

:) Yessss...

Your Crawling Chaos looks great!

ZULEYKA GAMES

let's see... The main image is something random I found a long time ago for D&D, I believe it's supposed to be of Sacerocul? That may point you in the right direction, or a reverse image search. The one on the blog is from Neurodyne (artist is on the photo) I'm not certain if it's a circle or individual, but seems to focus on more of a horror theme, which is awesome ^-^

I will at some point, and put it in the game encyclopedia. They're a bit more simplistic than some of the female ones, for the most part, mostly to improve bedroom abilities.

Essentially yes. That's the big limitation to adding in content was not having a parser. While I can slowly work my way around this, supplementary writers couldn't do so so easily, because they'd have to know far more about the game variables, and the whole process would be less efficient. But now that the parser was within sight, I was comfortable enough to start looking to hire writers. The more procedural NPC-centered content will still need the AI and probably date system, but as far as writing goes it'll be a lot easier for just about everything. :D

I wanted to ask, will you write a description for the genetic mutations available to males NPC? For now there is only for female mutations

That's some hard work you're putting there! I don't think I would have the patience to that, so for that you have all my admiration :D Now may I ask if you have links for the two images from that post? The one posted here and the second one, you know for those that have strange taste for their arts.

looks amazing!

Just out ou curiosity (I read all your previous posts on the parser and found them pretty interesting): as soon as the parser phase reaches its end, that's when the content can start to be massively implemented? (maybe in parallel with other things, but you know..the time when the base is there and you can safely start writing scenes and the like)
