Steph seems to forget that this series at its core is a critique of capitalism, meaning that society creates ppl's desires and characters. No one is inherently just good or bad, and the actions that ppl take on this show can't be taken at face value. There are a lot of deeper level operations at play. It'll make more sense once you see the final episode, hopefully.
