I don't really want to go into more detail since it's spoiler territory, but it's not like he's seeking any actual sexual interactions like Rudeus was with even potential underage girls.

2024-09-20 17:55:15 +0000 UTCI haven’t seen the show but its vibe is kind of how I remember my childhood. I grew up around violence and didn’t think much of it. Even though I luckily managed to not get involved in anything, I didn’t really feel a need to stop / help others because it just seemed like a fact of life. Even now it’s weird because I feel like some of my happiest memories are from that time despite the fact that the stuff going on around me was objectively terrible. It’s because as a kid you don’t understand the gravity of the things happening around you and when adults don’t seem to care about it then it becomes easier to accept. The show already showed that Gon is accepting of rough situations like with his dad.

He's a very polarizing character—you'll see soon. :) I love your wild theories and how you're already suspicious of everyone and everything—it's very fun! Also, you don’t have to check for end credit scenes. I’m pretty sure there are only about one or two episodes with them, very late into the anime, and you’ll notice, since they blend into the usual ending.

2024-09-19 20:22:02 +0000 UTCI think the show follows the perspective of Gon, which is a twelve years old. He is not sufficiently mature to know the weight of his actions or what he is experiencing. Everything is cartoonistic because thats how Gon sees the world. Nevertheless, some of his actions are indeed morally gray. I remember some people even saying that he's some sort of psychopath, but I think thats pretty much how a twelve years old would sort of react in this kind of extreme situation.
