They always do it in a way where you could chose to interpret as magic or coincidence/ignorance but they have never actually implemented magic in the series, only the perception of magic from the perspective of those who believe in it.

Most families from this era had a sibling or cousin or someone who died young, heartwrenching as it is Yeah the scouser talking to Arthur felt so out of place, I get what they were going for but it should have been in a different context because it made no sense to let him off for what he was doing (also he's giving this big speech about giving up opium, but he's literally stealing it by the bucket? Hypocritical much)

Hes phenomenal Edit: okay this comment feels kinda insensitive now that ive seen ruby dies at the end. Ive never felt so empty from a death in this show until now
