This week I wanted to take the time on figuring out what kind of UI or user interface the game should have. I wanted something that looks fresh and also stands out. While surfing the world wide web I stumbled on a UI style called neumorphism that I feel fits the bill. It uses a combination of light and dark drop shadows to create a minimalistic 3d feel.

I also knew I wanted to have transparency on the in-game menus as with last weeks kobold editor, it blocks a lot of the screen. Luckily there's also a style called glassmorphism which as you can guess is a glass like UI style. Combining both neumorphism and glassmorphism creates 3d like glass planes that I feel works out really well. You can also grab the menus boarders and drag it around.

The UI still has a ways to go with things like a better font and legibility here and there but I feel like it's going in the right direction.
