Update 16: The Return

Hello hello! Sorry for the delays again, I've been pretty busy! The kobold model proved to be much more of a challenge. I tried my best to have the model as one solid piece but it fought me the whole way with annoying texture issues everywhere in the end, so I ended up having to split the model into two pieces, the main green body and the yellow plate part, making the texture issues non-issues by hiding them in-between the two pieces. The many kobolds in the pictures are some of my failed experiments. A noticeable change from the original model are also the eyes. Having more detail to the model, I also updated the eyes from its simplistic oval shape to using a special shader allowing for change of its color down to the iris.

Normally I should be done with the kobold and knight models by now but I've been planning on returning to public updates this month. I haven't been on twitter and youtube for a very long time and I want to return with a decently sized update on what's new with kobold garden. I want to make it as nice as I can so I may need some time for it. I still plan for a monthly build but the next few updates may be on this update instead of the actual game.

On that note I can at least share with you the details. Normally my youtube videos are in the style of a news broadcast with a kobold news anchor relaying the updates as news. The kobold anchor will be returning but the video will be in the style of a nintendo direct. Normally in this style I'd just plop the update points into the video but I want to make this really nice by showing each update point like the new kobold model or garden, like they were an apple product in an apple event which may require some extensive animation. I'm not sure If I'll go through with the apple part but I'll see if I can. I'm really excited for this update as I've been planning it for awhile, I'll do my best to update you guys as I get through it.
