New Knight Model

Long time no see!

This model was pretty tough to get though, I originally rushed to get it done but really didn't like the result as you can see in the last pic. I looked at redoing it again or possibly giving the knight a completely new design, but I decided to just stick with the original design and add more detail here and there like the more prominent cowl that now sits above the knights pauldrons instead of under. Something that really helped me with this second attempt was taking my time and assessing how to get things done in a more relaxed manner. I also apologize for how long this took too! I should have been posting more in-progress shots but my anxiety of this second attempt not looking great similar to the first made me want to focus on just getting it done and going from there.

There are a few small things I need to fix with this model still but for now I'll be working on some environments next starting with remaking the lobby area. My vision for this is a grand astral observatory/library with a similar vibe to the original chao garden lobby. I also plan to just post whatever I have done on a more weekly and semi-weekly basis, so I don't go all silent for long periods of time again and to get more input from what you guys think too.

Yeah thanks! I feel a games visual identity and peoples first visual impression of a game are pretty important so I wanna make sure the models are in a more or less finalized state for the Steam early access release later this year. I've also been focusing on asset creation mostly as it's the most challenging aspect of the game for me. I'm more of a programmer than an artist so I want to make sure I nail the assets before anything. Once the environment models are out of the way though I will actually be moving more towards programming and ai for that Steam release. I'll try to document how it works for those who are interested.

Take as much time as you need to polish up things; I'm just happy that your doing QoL stuff 'till the work is to your liking! I'm not entirely sure what the context to "what should you review next" is, but if its regarding Kobold Garden, I'm curious to see the inner workings of a Kobold's AI behavior for roaming around in an area. Even if it's bare bones or T-poses, this stuff is interesting!
