To me, it just seems like Rhov is comfortable with digging himself deeper instead of trying to find a better, even easier way to help himself. He just wants pity and instead of growing from his troubles, he wants everyone else to feel sorry for him instead of fix what's broke. If he still wants to be the leader of his pack, he has absolutely terrible qualities about going about it. A good leader would be resourceful enough to find out where the problem lies, not make the problem harder to solve. And hurting others along the way is trait his family have no problem with doing. Kainan was notorious for doing this to his own pack. But he was honest about what he had to do. Rhov doesn't have the same tempermant or manner of his father. And don't tell me it's age and experience, because with every character seen, they've shown growth. Or independence that comes with their situation. Rhov has only shown that lying and remaining selfish is much easier than being a better dog. Or even a smarter one.

2019-03-29 20:01:37 +0000 UTCAgreed 100% with all of this (including the not shipping thing, not every close bond has to be romantic) and to add to that, I really hope he and Jahla reunite because they had a well built up relationship. And not only for that reason but for him to tell her that all this lying hurts more people in the end than it protects. I really lived the pair together, and it'd be nice to not see another pair break up but instead work through their differences and come to a better understanding. Couples can be good and happy even if they don't share the same religious beliefs and such, them breaking it off because of that one disagreement would be pretty disappointing since in Asmundr they had a very strong bond and out of that story their budding relationship actually seemed to happen in a reasonable frame of time.

I don't think anyone has ever articulated it before the way Feaf has, so directly to him. I truly hope it makes him reflect on not just this scenario but all the lies in the past, and that it helps him become a better more mature adult. Here's your chance to start making things right, buddy. Don't mess it up.

2019-03-28 11:51:04 +0000 UTCFor Rhov, telling a lie is easy because it all started with agreeing with Jahla on not spilling all the details about what was lying in wait on Aedra. It didn't just start with the lie on how Zilas died. He felt that lying about Zilas to Ramino and Zahira was a bad idea in the first place, he should have listened to his gut about it not feeling right. And now that he's lied to Feaf, someone who he thought he had something in common with, he's dragged her into all of this. I feel so bad for Feaf that she ended up lying to her own Viscountess. Lying feels so easy the more you keep doing it...

2019-03-28 10:41:29 +0000 UTCi feel like feaf is still hurt that rhov lied to her. i mean, she's been in the guild and it seems like she's a very beloved cat among... pretty much everyone we have seen her interact with. she's probably used to being told the truth, and nothing but the truth, especially by individuals that are close to her/etc. i'd feel really bummed out as well if i had to lie for another person just because THEY lied to me in the first place. stuff can get ugly with this kind of lie, she could possibly lose her place in the guild, if not, get a very severe warning or some type of punishment for it. all because rhov decided to lie to her about why he was there/etc. unpopular opinion here, but i don't ship these two together and i don't think the attraction feaf has to rhov is romantic. she may have been attracted to him (he's charming as we have seen) but i don't think it was strong enough/a crush on him could have been strong enough to make her act like THIS. i feel like feaf really liked rhov in a friendly manner (it seems like, although she's close with her guildmates, her and rhov have a LOT in common, and it seems like she's very different from her guildmates despite the closeness) because they had so much in common, and she felt like she kind of... you know, had a really good friend to relate to and stuff, you know? they hunt the same way, they share similar mannerisms, the chemistry is good... it seems like a really, really strong future friendship, and i think feaf saw this and really got attached to the idea (especially since rhov was deciding to join the guild) and is now hurt because... he lied to her about something so serious, and about something that could not only get him in serious trouble, but her as well, INCLUDING possibly not seeing him again. i feel like in the last panel, rhov is really starting to realize this, especially when feaf said those things in the previous panels. rhov is young and inexperienced, and his decisionmaking skills need some work, but its times like these where it's really good for this type of character to experience these things. it's trail and error, and in the future, rhov may think a couple times before deciding on making a decision like this. his decision was in good taste -- it was smart, as he was protecting his family and mate, but at the same time it was in bad taste because it was a lie, and this entire thing about the guild revolves around truth, and most of what he said (having a mate, etc) was true, was actually a lie! imo, i think rhov did good on not telling the truth, but again, this decision (as do many) come with consequences, and it's definitely no doubt rhov (and possibly feaf and co.) may have to pay the price for this decision. whether or not the price is severe or not, is what will be decided in future pages... all in all, this pair is very interesting, and although i don't ship them together romantically, i ship them in a friendly manner. :) they seem to have a lot in common and although its very bumpy right now, i hope rhov and feaf find a good friend in each other, it seems like they both need it, especially with both of them beginning to wear down.
