Southspear has few members because of the lack of food they have, they need to ration well and can't accept that many new members because of this. This leaves them weakened, and further in the future, their bloodline might get severely affected by this, because they would have to inbreed with each other if they want to create a new generation. Other tribes avoid inbreeding by contacting allies and asking for new members to give them new blood. Having allies increases any tribe's survival chances.

That's 11 chapters to think through all over again XD I can say though that my least favorite ones are the ones where not much is happening, where there's not much dialogue or actions. Those are boring to get through but they're often necessary. My favorite scenes are the one with lots of talking about interesting points, like character thoughts/motivations, or the ones with lots of action like an attack.

Was Roamer in an especially bad mood and taking it out on Javo in the training scene because Rogio basically ignored him instead of stopping to greet/talk to him upon arrival back to Meteor camp?

Okay, so a few more questions hit me. 1. Of the tribes that haven't been fully introduced yet, which tribe (or tribes), are you most excited to show in the comic? 2. Will we ever see or learn of the full list of guidelines the Matriarch has for the tribes? 3. Sorry if this one is spoilery, but aside from not having protection against other tribes, and not having access to the capital's resources, how exactly is Southspear (and other tribes that have chosen not to follow the guidelines) negatively impacted by not having an alliance with Solar Stag? Liari said their way of life is slowly killing them, but from what we've seen so far, they all seem physically healthy and well fed, and for all intents and purposes seem to be doing quite well.

The crest structure is kind of like the cartilage in our ears, it's soft and can submerge completely into the skin of the neck, just leaving a bit of the fur visibly disturbed. Thakir is currently the only one with a crest, so no specific expressions exist yet with this crest, since he himself doesn't quite understand it.

1. As time passes and gets better for the tribe will Ronja want to continue staying as a leader? She was honestly thrown into leadership by Ranach and ever since she's heard the female side of things and a lot of the terrible history the tribe has had she agreed to help out. But when her pups are older would she seek to step down and give the role to either one of her daughters or one of the females she feels would best fit the role? 2. Isn't Ronja tribe alliance with SST? Since she allowed them to build a shrine on the tribe land or will an alliance be made later on? 3. Do you have a set personality for Akleja yet? 4. I know the females of the tribes were probably unsure about Kargo but did they ever thank him or showed their gratitude to him and Ferah for being the beginning of the end for the tribe's old ways? Since Kargo basically pulled a domino effect that led them to where they are today when he rebelled.

Yes it's very common for these characters to display typical dog behavior. Just recently- Page 638 Naeva and Akleja playbows, Page 632 Rogio lowers his head, engaging in a "hunting" type behavior, Page 630 Ronja wags her tail, Jahla crashes into her in a typical dog play/hug fashion, Page 627 Ronja wags her tail when Fjordor accepts an alliance.

I chose to stack him like that to show that he doesn't come with much, there's no one else with him, he doesn't have weapons or heavy armor on. His head was held high since having it lower could look like a threat/stalking behavior (:

It completely depends on how a tribe has their structure set up. Some tribes may have fighting involved to pick out the strongest, but more often it's the next bloodline that is in line for Jarl/Viscountess.

Do the dogs of Aedra ever wag their tails or any of the other neotenic behaviors of domestic dogs?

When will the sp characters be part of the character listing, the taiga lions are, and most of the whispervale characters are Wats ur fav breed in the comic, wat would you chose to be? Wat do u have fr future plans after the comic, are u going to be open to commission, more customs etc? Is there a chance we could get different types of territory biomes? Does Ranach think that iberon is rogio reincarnation? Ik it would take some time but y can’t the asmundr pack use panic to visit nearby tribes to see if the others are ok? Is panic the only one of his kind? Is there a chance that some of this non main characters will become main characters I understand keirr never thought of being the leader but with the way his brother acts wouldn’t kainan pick him over his brother just because of the differences the show in responsibility

One more that hit me. How do aki crests work exactly? Thakir was able to hide his which I took to mean they can lie flat but can they willingly move them? Like the crests of cockatiels/cockatoos? Is doing so another way to express mood as well?

I noticed that Fraujar was standing with his flank exposed to Ronja when he appeared on Meteor Territory. Was that an artist choice to show off his (pretty awesome) clothing and markings design or is there a code of body language between tribes. For example, standing alone like that side on is a sign that you are there peacefully? While perhaps forward facing and head low or tail up is a warning they pose more of a threat.

Only on pages that have a strong fire light present, then I use multiply to darken the characters and overlay to add the light of the fire.

I don't think I will redraw Asmundr, if I were to do that, I wouldn't be able to contain myself from fixing the flaws and pacing of that comic, so I would end up having to probably double the amount of pages Asmundr has, which would take me years to do. I would rather continue with something new. I don't think hard copies will happen either, maybe of Home but I would want to redraw the first couple of pages first and that would take a lot of time. I'm more inclined to do smaller tutorials that can be of use here at patreon.

She turned against him at the wall because she could sense that someone was there that had Ranach's affection. She was meant to be the only one for him, his true love, so when she sensed Rogio, she turned against him and went to kill Rogio. Can't answer the curse question.

1. The common thought among tribes is to abide by these guidelines to improve their tribe's survival chances. If they choose to go against these guidelines, they are immediately taken out of chances of an alliance between them and Solar stag, Solar is the most powerful tribe on Aedra, and an alliance with them provides the tribe with all kinds of resources and protection, without it they are exposed and vulnerable to all other tribes. Those tribes that have chosen to go their own path are struggling because of this disadvantage. Another reason to follow these guidelines is the trust that other tribes will give you. 2. It can happen at any time, it's just at Tinget where tribes can bring up past disputes, and if these disputes aren't settled, they can break off the ally bond. But tribes can break off an alliance at any time if they feel it's the right time and they don't want to discuss it over at Tinget. 3. Pretty common if they happen to bump into each other. 4. For very serious crimes, involving multiple allies or the capital themselves, the capital can send out bounty hunters to hunt down the criminal and have them brought to the capital for an execution. There isn't much of a hearing or trial at the moment, but these things may evolve eventually. 5. Banishment, ally bonds being broken. Non-lethal punishment is usually left up to the leader of the tribe to decide.

2. That was just Axi's personal opinion, and she could have underestimated the hatred some tribes still feel for MT. 3. Extreme rawhide, scarred piebald and bronco is the only one out of the fictional genes that may cause deaf and blindness, similar to extreme piebald. 4. They are listed as Very Rare. 5. Yes, any real life mutations can also occur in the Aedra population. If one is born hairless, they could use herbs to lotion their skin and clothing to protect from the sun.

XD interesting. Jahla would probably be first in but also the one first out when the ghost gets active. Ferah would be pretty aggressive and talk back to the ghost. Ronja would stay in the van. Rhov would be the goof and play around way too much. Ranach would probably want to stay in the van but feel group pressured to join. The only one that would take the investigation serious would be Keirr.

How are tipically chosen Jarls and Viscountess in the tribes? Are their puppies raised to become one as in monarchies or empires or they have to win it over as vikings did? Also, I don't know if this would be considered a spoiler but, did Fraujar have a nice ''childhood'' (puphood? haha)? He seems sad and worried all the time, as if there is a shadow casted over him. Have a nice day!!

It's mostly a personal choice, I'm more attracted to jaros and rifles, so that is usually my choice when I create a new main character. Another reason is that I'm comfortable with drawing them, I can draw them pretty much reference-free, which saves me a lot of time, but while I create all of these common breed characters, I work on learning the anatomy of the other breeds on the side by creating semi-major and minor characters of those rarer breeds, like Lahmina, Romé, Ronja's pups, a Kingshall Baron that will appear soon. When I slowly learn to draw these breeds by adding characters on the side, I'll eventually be comfortable enough to make a main character of these breeds in the future.

1. About how many chapters do we have left? 2. Do you have anything planned for when this comic ends? (Such as a sequel to the sequel of Asmundr or maybe a remastering of the original? Not to say the original isn't fantastic, but your art has improved 350% since then, and I'm curious if you've ever thought of doing some redraws of past pages or panels, to showcase how much things have changed. :)

1. Since none of the tribes are required to follow the guidelines the Matriarch has put in place... Why do most of the tribes follow those guidelines, instead of things devolving into a society where it's basically every tribe and/or dog for themself? 2. Since it says on the wiki that Tiget is normally where ally bonds between tribes are created or broken... How normal is it for a tribe leader to break off an alliance outside tinget (like how Jarl Arunzu broke off Flamegard's alliance with Solar Stag)? 3. Likewise, how frequently do tribe leaders form alliances outside Tinget, as Jahla tried to do with Ravencrest? 4. When it comes to dealing with criminals, is there any sort of trial or investigation done to make sure the dog convicted of a crime is actually guilty of committing it? 5. If it's not too spoilery, what are some non-lethal forms of punishment canines or felines that commit crimes might face (if any)?

Why is there only ever Jaros or Jaro mixes. I understand some breeds are rare but there’s other common/uncommon breeds listed that we never see. You have all these breeds yet ever only show a handful, why? You have a wonderful selection to choose from. It makes it hard sometimes to distinguish similar looking characters from one another as well.

1. Will we ever know what happened to the mother and her two sons that took refuge in Havenreach or is that too spoilery? 2. Someone (I think it was Axi) said that an attack on Meteor would be unlikely since the tribe is the victims left over. Is that no longer accurate anymore? 3. Are there any coats that have detrimental effects on dogs or cats? (ie: double merle for example). 4. Are rifle royales particularly rare? There only seems to be a handful compared to the other breeds. 5. Can Aedrans (felines and canines) be born hairless? How do such individuals cope if so?
