Maybe what happened to Rogio's old pack is *why* they're this way towards dogs now? The dogs ran, but what if these guys were around and didn't have anywhere to go?

Who knows, i'm still hoping they may be friendly after they warm up to the boys a little. "Your nightmares have only begun" just seems.....a not so good promise q.q
