Not gonna lie, checking the internet history for first person shooter games blew my mind (and cracked me up. I cried laughing) AT FIRST. But the more you think about it, it’s not that great of an idea. Playing shooting games and actually wielding a gun are not similar at all. When I was younger (24 now), my aunt lived with us and she owned a gun. One day she was cleaning her gun when I came into her room. I sat next to her watching because I’m nosey lol. I guess she took me watching her cleaning it as an interest in holding it because she extended it to me. As soon as I saw her begin to hold it out toward me, I scooted away yelling “Nooooo!” I even cried. Before that, I had no problem playing with toy guns and knowing there was a gun in the house. But to see it coming toward me in person was terrifying. I don’t know what the big focus on guns is for anyway. Fine, if you can’t wield a gun, I’ll give you gun-less training and a gun-less task in the military. You still have to serve tho. I’ll make you a crossing guard or something lol. That way no one can use that stance to get out of their military service. I like the song choice at the end.

Danny these topics were all really interesting. Thank you for discussing. I just came back from a trip to Japan/South Korea. I had a slight cough in Japan and when I got to Seoul it definitely became worse. I really didn’t want to believe it was the air but once I returned to the US my cough cleared up pretty quickly. I wish I had taken your advice and bought a mask. I just felt weird wearing one. Definitely would not hesitate again. One suggestion I have, not sure if it’s possible. But I would love to see you guys do a collab with Laowhy86 or SerpentZA. They do videos on living in China from a foreigner perspective. I think you and David cover so many different topics it would be interesting to see what a collaboration with them would be like. I know your main focus may be Kpop or Korean entertainment but I find it interesting when you two discuss other topics as well. Much luck in 2019. 500k!!!!

Cooperating with China is not an easy task since Korea is relatively weaker compared to China. Basically our politicians have a very difficult time talking about the fine dust issue outside of Korea because they are worried that they might piss off China. Unless Japan and the other neighboring Asian countries group together to officially combat the one of the main sources of air pollution(China) I don't see this problem coming to an end any time soon. :(

Yeah that's the one thing I don't like about the game thing too. The government checking on the people's records for their online activities. People are cheering on for the government because the people who will be checked are not on their side, but this could set a very dangerous precedent for future actions.

DKDKTV

Yeah we are changing up DKDKTV a bit atm, and we're really sad to let the Night Drive series go. We've decided to shift the focus due to the lack of interest in that series from most of our audience. But we still do have one last Night Drive left with Cacophony :)

DKDKTV

To be honest I don't think it will work either nor is it an effective way to filter out the fakers from the real ones. I did have a good chuckle at it though.

Hey Danny - just wanted to say that your podcast is my favourite patreon perk :). I never thought my job would ever have any relevance to your topics but I work in environmental regulation, so my time has finally come to flex! The dust issue I found particularly interesting. The World Health Organisation recommends a daily average of 25 micrograms as the daily concentration average for this kind of fine particulates, so the levels at the moment are pretty scary. This is the standard in SK so I'm interested to know more about their policies and preventative work that they are doing to meet that standard as its not sustainable to rely on these emergency measures of controlling cars or getting thermal plants to reduce output. Not least the impact to the businesses, economy, your average Korean folk from these emergency measures is no doubt larger than preventative measures. SK is relatively a young country still, I hope they can learn from other countries mistakes! Unfortunately, it takes countries to work together...we had the same thing here where UK industry was causing acid rain in Scandinavia and killing forests and lakes...but this issue has since fallen off as a priority after Britain got better at mitigation measures on their plant. Maybe it helped being bound by block EU legislation so everyone had to work to the same standards...I suspect that is way off for SK and its neighbours?

I knew that some asian countries had problems with air pollution, but I had no idea it was this serious in Korea too! I have no idea how that is, my city is big but has a very clean air and I already suffer to breath when it's too dry. I hope that people start getting conscious about this problem to make the air better too before permanent problems appear. About that BTS question, I think the point here was to evaluate the person's ability to produce a craft (I didn't caught exactly what had to be made), BTS was just something to guide the person. It could be about anything other than BTS, like politics or whatever, and still I don't think it would matter because the person's abilities matter most than the content of what they made. Anyway it's really interesting to see how popular BTS has become to get to that point. And your army story made me think of what people do to pass driver exams here. In Brazil, we have an psychological, theoretical and practical exam to be able to drive, and the psych exam is very confusing because sometimes people that are okay don't pass and people that clearly are not pass, so a lot of people try to go around the test and get tips to pass, it's crazy. And about the game thing... I do think it's genius, but I really don't like the idea that the government is getting so deep into people's life, you know? Specially with religious belief like that, it's a extremely sensitive topic. Also, both you and David are sweethearts, I wish the very best for you!

Hit enter but mistake Wanted to add that I think someone told you that Patreon might a good avenue to pursue! Lol! Although I imagine, mostly through Emma, it to be unstable. Ironically I am thinking about degrading my patron level since you guys have added more stuff I don't like and gotten rid of stuff I real liked! Wth? But, you know I really don't fit your common demographic!

So if the potential artist doesn't know BTS then all they would have to do is express their emotions about not knowing them; disdain, jealous or whatever. Artists, as I think you mentioned, need to express their ideas through their emotions. Whatever efforts are used to check-out the "objectors" are probably no difference than the efforts for top secret/other classified clearances so it a good tool, among others to evaluate them. As someone that has suffered from depression for much longer than you have been alive I recommend you seek professional mental health advise. I think you would benefit from it. I believe the sooner one addresses any potential issues/issues the less negative influences any problems will have on the quality of one's life. Btw most people, whether they suffer from mental health issues or not, benefit from profession evaluation and the help/self-help that can come from a life-coach or a trained mental health therapist/psychiatrist and or reading books/studying about their issues.

I’m actually a Jehovah’s Witness and what you said is correct we believe that we shouldn’t partake in war or violence to be honest I don’t know if what the government has proposed will work I think they should make it harder for people not to serve so those who actually hold those beliefs will go through the proper procedures to be exempt
