2021-02-02 14:48:23 +0000 UTCThe 2nd Gen comebacks are giving late 20s and early 30-something idols (excluding SuJu) a new life - and I think if we perpetuate the notion that "idols don't make it after they turn 30", we're falling into the same trap of "old idols/celebrities don't exist". It leans sexist and age restrictive. I'm glad K-Pop is willing to test the market with older idols and that these artists get to continue their careers as musicians and groups before "retiring".

Love them, and really have enjoyed seeing Taemin blossom from a kid who could dance but not sing very well into a confident man with on-point vocals to add to his killer dance moves. After Jonghyun died, I was not surprised when the older boys took off to the military - as much as military duty sucks (according to Danny and David), it was a way out of that public grief and a way to put off the question, “What do we do now?” I’m excited for their comeback, but to me... some of the fandom’s response is disturbing. I get the fans never want to forget Jonghyun, and they’ll always be “5HINee.” However, continually editing him into current event photos seems shocking and off. How do the boys feel about that? It’s horrible, terrible that he is gone, but he is not here and how can the guys go on and make a new space for the 4 of them if their followers won’t allow them to be “whole” as they are – in reality? I know “everyone grieves differently” – I just think if this keeps up, it could push the guys to just “move on” to other things… What are your thoughts on this? (I know it's sensitive...but where else do we talk about it?)

It always surprises me cause they have had "only" BTS for a long time, while YG, SM, JYP had several groups. I know BTS is a titan but.. that much? I'm guessing that the financial strength is coming from investments, subsidiaries and such, but I wasn't aware that they were bigger than YG for instance.

Gonna be interesting to see what they do about Purchases on Vlive+ Especially for People like me, who already have 2 accounts with different e-mail-adresses and made purchases on both, weverse & Vlive The UNIVERSE App sounds kinda creepy. Do people really want fake-voice messages of Idols? I think that's too much. It will just spure on Delulu-Fans and their sense of owning an Idol.

2021-02-02 06:08:18 +0000 UTCyou only loose access if you delete you ACCOUNT, not the app. I have deleted and re-installed soo many times its not funny (when my phone & tabs were playing up) but yeah, I leave the occaisional message for the guys, but rarely read anyone elses posts and my messages are for the guys, not for cheers and while I do wish I could get a comment on my posts from the boys, I dont live/die if I never get one.

I don’t want to freakin cheer your romance novel of a post! I like that artists interact more with fans but they can also do that on sites like Twitter, problem is Twitter is very public and weverse seems more intimate. Until more artists start joining... I also don’t like that if you delete the app for whatever reason you’re screwed out of everything you ever bought. It’s dumb

Mostly unintelligible. - why do they publish content pages in all languages. You can select a site language, why isn’t the language dynamic. - why, why, why can’t I browse band content without having to “join” the site. - Online magazine is like a 90’s blog. Tumbler was better. I could go on and on. With all their money it’s embarrassing.

I like that I can have translations faster and I ALWAYS have problems with VLive notifications never showing up on my phone (and yes when BTS was on VLive all the time I had notifications on and would NEVER get notified when they were on, and then hear about it like 8-12 hours later and be like WHAT). But I can definitely see there being issues with the transition and stuff, but that happens when any company transitions from one owner to another.
