MOTIONLESS WALLPAPER PACK JUN'19

This pack contains five June images (two 5200x5200px and three 5200x2600px). After making this collage I realised that this month was very dark. Again.

But I tried a lot of new things! I was using limited palettes for all June works. I started with 16 colours for each work and then increased the number of colours. The final amount was between 32 (The Last Hour) and 89 (Terminal E) colours - which is very good. I always had a lot of problems with GIF rendering, since I was too lazy to limit my palette. In video format everything is great, but when it comes to the GIF which is limited to 256 colours I never know how much works will change because of this limitation. And it usually affect the animation part the most - all this subtle flickering is super hard to work with. But now, even when I already used 89 colours, I still have 167 colours left! This is so great. I'm so sorry that I did not bother to do this before.

I also tried to use dithering (Satellite Six) and it was super fun and interesting.

Maybe you have noticed that I didn't use the outlines in the last two works. It was a challenging experience after a few months of using outlines for everything and it allowed me to rethink some old and new works and methods.

I think I made a great progress this month and hope to continue to grow as long as possible.

Thank you very much for your June support!

Have a great July!

Thank you! <3 About the Wallpaper Engine. Firstly, as far as I know it's not suitable for Mac users. There are alternative applications for Mac, but honestly for now I have enough platforms to upload content to and I'm not sure I can handle more. If I'll provide animated walllpapers for PC users I should do the same thing for Mac users. Secondly it's not free. It's cheap but I'm not sure if I want to promote this platform since I'm not using it by myself and I don't want to do it for now.

Once again, great artwork! Have you considered formatting your GIF looping images into looping videos for use in the Wallpaper Engine (https://store.steampowered.com/app/431960/Wallpaper_Engine/)? There's a huge community around the software that take still images and turn them into looping videos to use as animated backgrounds and I think your quiet, looping GIF artwork would be perfect for these sort of things. Worth looking into!
