Disco light complete hack.

This video is about stripping all the original circuitry out of a cheap disco light and replacing it with a new PCB with LED array and power supply combined onto one panel. The inspiration for this project was an image of the colourful pattern of light projected by a stained glass window.

I would love more of those cheap effect lights to be hacked or taken to bits. That could also be because i just love tinkering with blinking stuff myself.

Wouldn't mind if you don't even show it on video. Only a message that it arrived. It would just be a small appreciation from my side, but i won't force you to accept it of course, and i also won't hold any grudges or something.

2018-05-06 14:32:01 +0000 UTCClive, That is a nice little mod! -and of course you covered the color changing diffused LEDs which is what I was thinking at first...and then wondering about the clears which you then also covered! :D A pattern of as many different colors as possible would be very nice indeed. The effect makes me think of windows made from the bottoms of bottles as well. Really lovely.

Sometimes just by putting in the PCB from another crappy effects light (like those stands where you put on stuff and the light color changes slowly). Just for fun. Is there a way to send something your way? Not anything fanzy, but some snacks to try :)
