Supermarket bulb dooby

Although Tesco is a huge UK supermarket chain, it's almost certain that other similar chains will use bulbs from the same source.

This one was notable for being lower power, and having slightly different construction from the usual bulbs of this style. The PCB is not glued in with silicone, but screwed in instead, and the lens was held on by a small dab of silicone at one side.

Aluminium is not a good conductor material due to its rapid forming of an insulating surface oxide. When used in power distribution it requires barrier grease to protect the connection point from oxidation.

Clive : I remember in previous videos you showed how easy it is to burn aluminium wire. What would be the effect of replacing electricity conducting parts in lights with aluminium? What about with other metals : for example nickel, steel, tin ?

What fun! Thanks Big Clive. Since you've started showing the lower wattage modifications, I've preformed this numerous times with great results. It's awesome!
