Chinese electronic lego timer module

I thought this was going to be an easy video to make, but it wasn't.

It took a LONG time to work out all the modes this unit has, test them and then basically write the entire English manual for the module in the description of the video! I had to remove some of the description because I hit the character limit!

It's quite a handy module though, even if it does have some issues with its power supply circuitry. The odd choice of an LM317 voltage regulator for 5V means that it will dissipate a lot of heat if the relay is on for any length of time while being powered from more than 12V.

Both are showing for me. It might be a country specific thing.

For random sounds you can use a rechargeable MP3 speaker and record farting noises with long MP3 silent tracks between them.

Nice. FYI, the aliexpress link to the non-mosfet version is broke.

That's a pretty wild little unit. I was going to have a question about 999 seconds but you indicated that the three decimals would transfer over to minutes. Very wild, the amount of programming in that little chip. Thanks for sharing this Big Clive! I came to the thought of use in hydroponic watering being like ten minutes on and 50 minutes off - repeat There's really a lot you could do with this. Maybe a one second quack noise followed by x number of minutes off to annoy room-mates. LOL
