I ended the recording very abruptly and I don't remember why lol, but I'll just give my overall thoughts here!
I really enjoyed this adaptation! I will say that I feel like you have to have experience with the original anime/manga to fully appreciate some aspects of the story. The pacing is very fast after episode 2, but then again I know what arcs they skipped over/combined so it may not seem very fast to those who are brand new. The cast definitely brought the characters to life (Yusuke in particular was PERFECT-) and the action was very engaging throughout (albeit a bit brutal lmao-) and the visuals were great. I'd definitely be down for a second season!
I can see fans of Yu Yu Hakusho being upset with how much was cut/skipped over/changed and I think that this could have used eight episodes as opposed to just five, but I'm a fanfiction enthusiast so I don't really get bothered by changes to canon events in stuff like this. All in all, it was very enjoyable and a successful adaptation imo.
We'll be going with Sweet Home Season 1 starting this coming Saturday since that had the second-most votes on the poll! I've already started pre-filming for it and I think it's going to be very fun lol.
