The Azure Dragon King: Lore and Magic System

The Azure Dragon King: Lore & Magic

Lore:
The gods of Chinese mythology are actually normal humans of ancient times(before even the great war between the angels and devils) who cultivated and became immortals. However, because they stayed in their Heaven and away from normal humans they became like your typical xianxia cultivators who don't care about normal humans. However, because of their immense power only the Indian gods could even rival them while the other pantheons were too weak.

When the bible God came into power he waged war against them by himself and sealed them and their multiple heavens away, cutting them off from earth and crippling the Chinese magic system because there was no more immortal qi saturating the earth. In the aftermath of the war there were only some records talking about the immortals’ power without any information about cultivation, making the Chinese people mistake them for gods and thinking that cultivation is fantasy.

Of course there are exceptions of people who know. For example, the ancient clans who descended from those immortals know but can't do anything about it since they're too weak. And because of no immortal qi saturating the earth, the chinese power system is capped at High Class Devil power. Meaning no one using cultivation can become more powerful than High Class despite them having the cultivation techniques to do so. Because without immortal qi they don't have the herbs and elixirs or resources to cultivate that high. This has also affected the monster/ beast and now its impossible to find legendary beasts like the Azure Dragon or White Tiger. Even their lesser versions like the Flood Dragon are almost impossible to find and even the ones that can be found are weak.

Things change though with the birth of Cao Yin and Cao Yang. Where Cao Yang inherited the spirit of Cao Cao and the Longinus, Cao Yin was born with an Emperor's Physique and the Martial Spirit of the Azure Dragon. Their births created a massive crack in the seal, allowing immortal qi to start saturating the earth once again, reigniting the age of heroe, immortals, and cultivation.

Supernatural Chinese Society:
We'll have the Four Divine Clans who are descended from the Four Divine Beasts(the Azure Dragon, the White Tiger, the Immortal Phoenix, and the Black Tortoise). Emperor Hall, whose members are all descendants of emperors and generals and possess Emperor bloodline. The Heavenly Lightning Sect who cultivate lightning techniques. Dragon's Domain, whose members cultivate dragon themed martial arts (the Azure Dragon Clan sees them as frauds and posers). The Jade Temple only accepts female cultivators. And the YinYang Sect which is a sect of dual cultivators.

I’m planning on taking characters from xianxia novels and making them the heirs of these 9 Clan/Sect. And these 9 Clan/Sect are the most powerful ones with the Four Divine Clans being the top four with the Azure Dragon Clan being number one but by a small margin.

There's also Thousand Beast Mountain which is where the remnants of the demonic beasts who gained intelligence are. The Blood Legion, a group of demonic cultivators who gain power through blood and devouring techniques. Evil Fist Sect. And Love Island who are cultivators that use people as cauldrons to cultivate. Other than Thousand Beast Mountain these others are all demonic cultivators.

Cao Yin’s Powers:
Yes to Sage Wisdom from God of Highschool, but it'll be like a King of Gods situation where Cao Yin unlocks more of the power as he becomes more powerful. Yes to the Cane of the Sage and the Blade of Tathagata, but they will be broken when Cao Yin finds them and reforges them together into a halberd(cause I want him to use a halberd). No to the Kings Body since Cao Yin's Emperor Physique does the same thing while also being compatible with his Azure Dragon King martial spirit

Altering the Sage Wisdom a little bit. Basically when it merges with Cao Yin, the Sage Wisdom adapts to the laws of the dxd universe and Cao Yin's Emperor Physique and Azure Dragon King martial spirit to become a xianxia like cheat.

Cultivation Realms:
The first realm is the Body Transformation which has 7 Stages.

Strength Training: The very first step in cultivation; in this step, a cultivator will strengthen their mortal bodies as a foundation. At the completion of this step cultivators will unlock touki.

Flesh Training is the second step: Cleanses and strengthens the outer parts of the body using touki. The epidermis of the skin can be infused with touki.

Viscera Training: Cleanses and strengthens the organs to the point that the breath of a cultivator would release snakes, and make their organs peak human.

Altering Muscle: Cleanses and strengthens all tissue using touki. Muscles can uses touki more effectively than even geniuses like Saierorg Bael

Bone Forging: This is when a cultivator permeates their touki in the bones, strengthening it.

Meridian Discovery: At this stage cultivators can finally internally see within their bodies to see their meridians and acupuncture.

Tempering Marrow: At this stage a cultivator uses their touki to cleanse their marrow to at least 60%. The average cultivator can at most do 70%, geniuses can do up to 90%, and geniuses among geniuses can do up 95%. Of course there are rare cases of 100%, but those are extremely rare even during the golden age of cultivation.

The second realm is the Meridian Opening where cultivators use their touki to open their meridians and acupunctures. There aren't stages in this realm, but to advance to the next realm one needs to open 60% of meridians and acupunctures. Geniuses are known to do even 100%. Geniuses among geniuses go even further by unlocking the Eight Gates

Gate of Healing: Increase a martial artist’s endurance and recovery ability.

Gate of Limit: Able to increase warrior's spine durability which handles balance, coordinated strength, and explosive force in battle and amplifies strength.

Gate of Wonder: Increases one’s speed and increases the warrior's agility and instant acceleration.

Gate of Pain: Increases the warrior's striking power.

Gate of Opening: Increase one’s perception as well as soul force.

Gate of View: Increase one’s defense. Along with the Gate of Pain, one's strength grows to a qualitative leap.

Gate of Life: Increases the warrior's life force. A warrior can burn up to 50% of their blood essence and it will recover automatically over time. This also causes the cultivator's touki to change qualitatively and quantitatively, making them at least 4 times more powerful with insane healing capabilities on par with a devil.

Gate of Death: Haven't figured out what this one does yet

Martial Qi Stage: At this stage, martial spirits can be released but are not awakened. In this realm, cultivators take in the energy of heaven and earth to build up their bodies' foundation and acclimation to Qi. Further separated into three substages: early, middle, late.

At the early substage a cultivator can only absorb a small amount of Qi which they pass through a set pattern of revolutions based on their cultivation technique before storing it in their dantian. This Qi can be used to enhance the cultivator’s touki. Once used up however the cultivator will need to meditate in order to refill it.

At the middle stage cultivators are able to absorb more Qi and produce more revolutions, they are also able to use the Qi to now activate martial skills.

At the late stage, the cultivator’s Qi, which previously took a gaseous form in their dantian, begins to liquify. This is a qualitative change in the person’s Qi.

Martial Spirit Stage: At this stage, all gaseous Qi in the cultivator’s dantian has turned into a liquid and their martial spirits awaken. The martial spirit will take a physical form and can be seen by the naked eye. As with the previous layers, it is also divided into three substages: early middle late.

In the early stage the martial spirit may help the cultivator in their journey by helping with the absorption of Qi, comprehending martial skills, increasing combat etc… depending on its type. For example, the martial spirits of the Four Divine Clans can accomplish all of the above and more.

In the middle stage, the effects of the martial spirit increases and depending on the type may also begin to possess some intelligence.

In the late stage not only does the martial spirit possess some intelligence, but it may also possess a presence that subdues/dominates lesser martial spirits. For example, before the presence of the Azure Dragon King, all beast and animal based martial spirits must bow; whether they a flood dragon, a tiger, or even an Azure Dragon, all become useless when faced against the Azure Dragon King martial spirit. Even other intelligent martial spirits will have their efficiency weakened when faced against the Azure Dragon King.

The final stage of the Qi Tempering realm is the Martial Warrior Stage: At this stage every increase in substage is as significant as an increase in a major realm from the lower stages, which is why this stage is divided into four substages: early, middle, late, and peak. At this stage a cultivator’s Qi forms a whirlpool in the dantian and they are able to passively draw the heaven and earth Qi into their body to replenish their own Qi simply by breathing. In addition, cultivators are capable of flight using their Qi.

In the early stage the constant exposure to the Qi of the planet allows a cultivator to begin to grasp the greater mysteries of the heavens, this manifests itself in the comprehension of different forms of heavenly intent such as fire, water, lightning, etc…

In the middle stage, the cultivator’s understanding of their intent of choice increases and begins to affect their Qi. For example, a middle martial warrior stage cultivator who has comprehended fire or flame intent will have Qi take on characteristics of fire, such as burning.

In the late stage, this effect is further amplified and the whirlpool in the dantian of the cultivator spins so fast that it begins to resemble a black hole.

In the peak martial warrior realm a cultivator has completely comprehended at least one heavenly intent and all that is left to do for them to advance to the next stage, the Heavenly Realm, is to compress their Qi into a black hole, become one with the heavens and gain the recognition and acceptance of the heavens by surviving their lightning tribulations.

Allies of Cao Yin:
First one is Alcides, the twin of Heracles

His name is Alcides and he was abandoned by his brother because he likes to prioritize strength above all. Heracles didn't care about his parents who were on the verge of bankruptcy, he stole the money which made the debt collectors imprison his parents. Alcides swore he'll find his twin and kill him for what he has done. https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Alcides

Artoria Pendragon, the eldest child of Uther Pendragon. She was the first wielder of Excalibur ruler before giving it to her youngest brother as he is more suited to wield the blade than her. She was tasked by her father in order to quell his anger to find Avalon, the sheath of excalibur. She wields Rhongomyniad, the lance that is said to rival the light of true Longinus

Morgan Le Fay, the half sister of the Pendragon family, was born with an affair with Uther Pendragon, bearing more Morgan blood within her. She was abandoned and thrown away by her father at the age of 6 when he did not want someone possessing 'the blood of a witch whore' and was raised by the fairies.

Adding three more Chinese generals that are heroic descendants who inherited the spirit of their ancestors. Those four, Lu Bu, and Artoria would basically be Cao Yin's most trusted generals

Two advisors Zhuge Liang and his little sister Zhuge Liang or commonly known as Koumei. And then when Cao Yin comes into the scene they eventually pledge themselves to him and with their help he creates his Empire. The Four Divine Clans would be directly loyal to him and him only, being above everyone else but below (kind of like how an emperor's brother would be called Prince and answer only to him). https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Zhuge_Liang

Minamoto no Raikou, Daughter of Indra himself and direct descendent of Minamoto no Raikou. She was born through an affair of Indra and a mother who used her boon to grant a child that would exceed the Minamoto clan. Sensing the eventual reemergence of the Chinese immortals, one of the sages sends her to The Heavenly Lightning Sect in the hopes of having an in with the Chinese for when they eventually become as powerful as the Hindu. There it's found out she has a perfect physique for cultivating lightning techniques and she quickly rises to become the holy maiden of their sect. https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Minamoto-no-Raikou

Miyamoto Musashi, descendent of Miyamoto Musashi adoptive daughter of the original descendent Sasaki Kojiro. She trained under his supervision after her parents were murdered by rogue Yokai's. Training her strength and vowing to hunt down all yokai's, regardless who they are. She's also an anomaly because she comprehended sword intent and space laws without being a cultivator

Hippolyta, Amazon daughter of Ares and Atalanta, descendent of the Chaste huntress. They were born and taken in by Artemis to be raised as her hunters. https://typemoon.fandom.com/wiki/Hippolyta
