Working with a CPA about our weird tax situation (five dudes in three different countries, four occasional contractors, and no one is, strictly-speaking, an employee) took much longer than expected, which was a bummer. So, the good news is we have enough money to continue to exist, and none of us will have our hands cut off by creditors with big knives, but...
Dealing with taxes slowed down the writing, which slowed down art, which slowed down animation and SFX, which slowed down coding/playtesting/debugging...
We will probably need to push back the release by ten to fourteen days. It's not yet clear whether this is the caseβdepending on the expediency of our contract animators, we could be ready, and maybe we'll get lucky and have very few bugsβbut it's feeling less likely lately and we would like to release a good game that don't crash.
tl;dr Release is delayed by ~10 days. New tentative release date for Rye 0.3.2 Complete is April 10.
