Eat Me Desire.

Wren sighed as she drove, her eyes glued to the end of the street. She had just finished a long day at work and wanted nothing more than to get home and relax. The day had comprised of her trying to sell cars to gubby and touchy men. She was sick of it all. Soon she would leave that sleazy car dealership behind and move on with her life.

The on board phone system sprang to life. Wren looked at the dash and read the number to see who it belonged to. “Ahh good. It’s Garry.” She pressed the talk button. “Hey Garry. You have no idea how glad I am to hear your voice.”

“Wren. Are you out of work yet?”

She flipped her long dark hair out of her face. “Of course. I had to get out of there.”

“Well come on by. I have a surprise for you.”

She tapped her hands on the side of the car. “What kind of surprise?”

He raised his voice. “Well you will have to find that out when you get here won’t you?” He hung up.

A smile formed on Wren’s face. “After today I am happy that Garry is here to help cheer me up.” She drove into the contry, the cool air blowing in her face. She looked out over the landscape with her blue eyes, massive pine trees and lone houses passed by along the lone road.

A few miuntes later Wren came to a covered bridge which went over a small river. She slowly drove across and could see her house after emerging on the other side. A one story house with chipped paint and a extior gararge. She could already see Garry’s grey truck parked outside her garage doors. “I guess he let himself in like always.”

I slowed down and stopped in front of my porch. As I shut off the engine Garry oppend the door and stepped out. “Hey sunshine.” He wore a blue tank top to show off his shiny pale skin. “Rough day at work?”

I shut off the engine and stepped out of the vehicle. “What makes you say that?”

He smirked as he put his left hand on the back of his alburn hair. “I can see it in your eyes.” He walked over to her. “I guess it is a good thing I came over.”

Wren dusted off her grey and red uniform before looking up at him. She blinked her green eyes. “Why?”

He put his hand on her sholder. “So I can cheer you up of course.” He smiled. “Now let’s go inside so I can show you my surprise.”

Wren shugged. “Ok.” She raised her finger and pointed at him. “But next time don’t come over unannouched. Got it?”

“Fine, fine.” She followed him inside. “I just thought we could spend the day together.” He put his arm around her.”

“We send almost every day together Garry.” She closed the door behind her. “What is so special about that?”

Garry turned off the lighs and let the candles illuminate the room. Wren stepped out in front of him and said, “Wow. This is amazing.”

He hugged her. “You haven’t even seen the best part yet.” He rushed out of the room. She hugged herself as she waited for him to return. This was so unexpected. Sure Garry was romatic and all but not on this level. This was something out of her dreams.

“Ok I have it.”

She turned to see him holding a jar of cookies. Wren crossed her arms. “What is so special and romantic about that?”

He took off the lid and pulled out a cookie with the words Eat Me written on it and tossed the cookie to her. “Just try it. It will enhance things.”

She held the cookie in her hands and stared at it. “I don’t know.”

Garry smiled. “Hey what can it hurt?”

Wren shugged. “You are right. What can it hurt?” She raised the cookie to her mouth and took a bite. “Mhhm. This is good.” She coutuined to munch at the cookie until it had comptely vanished.
