People keep copying my solutions

It's tiring and disappointing. Why not put the time in learning how to reverse engineer and fix a game yourself? That way we'd have more hands on deck and distributed across the games that are untouched, instead of four people doing their own variations of a fix for a single game, stemming from a single solution and achieving the same thing.

This also causes fragmentation in that there would be users looking for feedback in all the places where the copies are published, only to find no valuable support at all, because if the people responsible for the copies knew how to solve the problems, they would have to begin with, on their own accord.

I know that L3X4RS, the person I told you about in an earlier post, ignored all the requests for a 32:9 version of a fix he had taken from another WSGF user just to repackage. There can be no progress when everyone is copying from everyone.

Where would any solutions come from if every one of the actual researchers and creators stopped in light of the misdirection or greed of those who copy?

It really puts me at a crossroads. How do I deal with something like this? The rotten apples just keep piling up, and do they smell.

Yeah, I've had all the same thoughts by now.

No idea how to deal with this, since they can easily join Patreon anonymously and access your work anyway even if you put everything behind a pay-wall. :( And even if you take someone to court and spend a crazy amount of money in lawyers and court proceedings, you'd need to make known the ways you found out it's your work being stolen, so everyone else would wise up to it and make it harder to know your work had been stolen yet again... I really have no idea what small scale programmers do to prevent piracy these days.
