Added 2023-12-12 13:14:16 +0000 UTCHi everyone, this month I won't be able to replicate one of the bigger releases of 2 units like we had in the last few months, I had a few problems and have even less time because of the festivities, I hope you will understand. Nevertheless, I can offer you a 12 model release of a infantry unit between:
- 13th century Teutonic Knights on foot with Winged greathelms and Faussart : The Faussart is a long-bladed, two-handed weapon, sometimes referred to as a warbrand (by modern reproduction manufacturers). It is essentially an elongated arming sword without crossguard. Though scant when it comes to both literary and iconographic references, the Faussart was possibly used by both cavalry and infantry. It is usually illustrated wielded by cavalry, usually of the knightly class, indicating it as a high-end weapon in contemporary sources. The weapon probably relates to the agricultural tool for grass cutting, the scythe. The Maciejowski Bible (Morgan Bible) depicts an example of a two-handed Faussart used by a mounted knight. If this option ends up winning we will have another poll to decide wether they should have capes or not.
- 13th century Early Lithuanian Bajorai on foot : Although not the primary target of the Prussian Crusades, Lithuanian tribes frequently engaged in conflict with the crusaders during the 13th century, with the Battle of Saule in 1236 being a prominent example. The early bajorai, representing Lithuanian nobility, are equipped with the finest armor and weaponry.
