DevDiary 10 - News from the front

Dearest Supporters,

Some time has passed since my last proper Devdiary, and to be honest I missed it a bit ^^

In today's edition, I wanted to talk about the features coming in the next update, 0.1.8. The new update is mostly focused on a thing that is not letting me sleep when I'm playing the game, the AI and enemy behavior. This is the first set of some real fixes to the AI (and not the last, mind you) after which the behavior, while still prone to bugs, should be a little smarter and get stuck less ^^

The enemies will now have collisions with themselves, meaning they will not be able to stack up and bombard Wegild with multiple attacks from one side at once, which should decrease the frustrations and give more sense to the blocking mechanic.

What is more, a riposte mechanic is also coming into the game, which is applicable after each perfect parry.

Sending over some footage in the patrons channel to visualize the changes a bit.

The next update will most likely drop after the weekend, as I am still adding and drawing something fun for all of you h lovers ^^
