Really all I'm looking for is biblical precedent that at one point carnivorous animals could live with prey animals and that at one point, under the power of god's will, they ate plant matter. If there is that precedent there is no reason to doubt that within the internal logic of the bible god could have them that way again in the ark which acts as a temporary symbolic second garden of eden.

The garden cleared out into the ark since global flood including eden. the uncorrupted animals were on the boat so they didn't eat each other. a step closer to making a coherent story.
