2025-01-19 01:26:49 +0000 UTCI’m a huge “Star Wars” fan and I saw the first movie at a drive- in, but didn’t get to see “The Empire Strikes Back” or “Return of the Jedi” in theaters. My parents didn’t have a lot of money and we didn’t get to go to movies very often. I would see those two movies years later in the theater. Fewer people go to the movies these days for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it’s more enjoyable to watch it at home.

It’s so atmospheric. Love the 70s and 80s songs. Amber, someday in the future I would love to see you watch “Xanadu”. The song came on my phone the other day and I had this vision of the future of you watching the movie and totally digging it especially the title track.

I was too young to understand the now weird & creepy bedroom scene but I thought it was a just a crush lolol..I had much too learn. Loved the villain though, even tho the actor turned out to be....yeah, that.

That was Howard the Duck at the end. Howard the Duck was the first live action marvel film lol. Crazy character. Most of all I loved watching you vibe out to good tunes. I've watched a lot of music reactors over the past decade or so and your definitely 1 on my list. The Amber sway and how u just get lost in the music, there is nothing like it. Can't wait for the next one.

In Iraq and Afghanistan both I was exposed to burn pit fumes, fumes from the northern oil refinery, poo pond fumes and who knows what the hell else. I have a bunch of issues and am at 100% disability through the VA. I go to individual counseling every 2 weeks and group once a week. Plus all the regular appointments with my back, shoulders, knee, ankle and feet. Then all the meds too. It's a lot so I can definitely sympathize with what he had to go through and I truly thank him for his service. Vietnam vets truly have a special place in my heart knowing what they had to endure.

The collector is a celestial one of the most powerful races in marvel and one of the oldest supposidly born at the begining of time. That's why they gave it to him to keep it safe. You'll meet two more of his race later including his brother in my favorite Marvel film. Also yes that's what headphones looked like. Back then you used to make mix tapes by recording songs off the radio. You had to be quick to hit the button in time. Jackson Pollack made paintings with paint splattered on canvas. That's the joke. 🤣 Rocket needed that stuff because he's sort of the Tony Stark of the group. Very good with electronics and spaceships. The dog you see is based on a soviet dog sent into space to test human survival. In the comics he's male but James Gunn made her female as a tribute to the life of the original dog's service named Laika. The comic version is named Cosmo. Just thought that was a cool easter egg.

Here’s a bit of background: In 1986, George Lucas, fresh off the success of Star Wars and Indiana Jones, produced one of the first theatrical films based on a Marvel comic character: Howard the Duck. Unfortunately, the movie flopped and is often labeled as the worst comic book film ever made. Lucasfilm barely broke even due to the hefty costs of special effects. It took Marvel over ten years to release their next major film, Blade, in 1998. Over time, Howard the Duck has gained a cult following, and audiences are now more receptive to seeing him again. Both the movie and the character have developed a cult following. I didn’t think the original movie was that bad, but I understand why it turned some viewers off. It’s a unique experience! Howard the Duck's failure taught valuable lessons to Marvel Studios about what to avoid in successful filmmaking. For me, Howard the Duck is one of my favorite cameos in the MCU. I always try to spot him in every scene he appears in..

My great uncle Roy died when I was 12 and that was my fist memory of feeling devastated bc he taught me how to shoot bows and rifles as well as hunt. He also used to polish stones and make Texas ties out of them. A gem of an old man. He uses to make us those wooden. Runner band guns with the clothes pin lol. It seems like you still turned out as a kind hearted person and I'm sure he's very proud of you. 🖤🖤🖤
