The walk around Chucky was played by John Franklin (Actor) who was also in the horror movie “Children of the Corn”

2025-10-22 17:20:07 +0000 UTCJust realized how creepy the life-size “Good Guys” doll was in the tv show Andy was watching.

2025-10-22 11:02:33 +0000 UTCFun fact: Chucky later became a football coach with the Raiders and Buccaneers. 😉

2025-10-22 10:24:19 +0000 UTCBrad Dourif is the voice of Chucky. He was the "creepy" guy in Lord of the Rings.

2025-10-22 03:00:51 +0000 UTCCongratulations on conquering Chucky...the first! This was fun watching you nearly lose your s***. So, you first nightmare was seeing Chucky climb out of your TV???? Then, years later you get to watch some water logged hag climb out of a well THEN out of a TV?? That's crazy! A bit foreshadowing, wasn't it?? So, for you it was Chucky when you were 5 or 6, for me it was The Amityville Horror (in the theater, blame my brothers!) when I was 10. I slept with my mom for 3 days straight! I think this may have been set in the late 70s, based on the rotary phone--though not really sure. If it was, then that hammer in the beginning was most likely metal. Back then, things like Handy Andy tools and Tonka toys were made of good ol' American steel, not plastic like they are now! Talking big empty boxes, my oldest brother gave me this huge box for Christmas when I was 8. It was a big box filled with maybe 7 or 8 smaller boxes, the last of which was my present--much smaller, naturally!

2025-10-22 02:10:48 +0000 UTCWhat I did not notice the first time I saw this movie was that Chuckie looked at the boy when he spoke to him the first time out of the box. How would a doll know where to look but straightforward?

2025-10-22 01:56:43 +0000 UTCThat was a fun reaction, I genuinely loved how freaked out you was “Not in a Sadistic way” lol That’s what Horror is all about :) I also was freaked out by dolls as a kid, I don’t know if you remember but I told you on a YT reaction that my mum used to collect old Victorian Era style porcelain dolls and they were everywhere in the old house, they played on my mind for sure growing up, the first 3 Child’s Play movies are great, after that they get overly cheesy/ camp but are still fun.

2025-10-22 01:34:01 +0000 UTCIt’s not so much what you see in a horror or suspense movie. It’s what you don’t see. Off-camera violence is truly terrifying.

2025-10-22 01:23:08 +0000 UTCThat’s usually the case with actors and actresses who play some of the meanest, evil people onscreen. They’re usually the exact opposite in real- life.

2025-10-22 01:20:54 +0000 UTCIn the 1980s there was a toy doll named “My Buddy” which was the inspiration for “Good Guys”. In fact, the commercial jingle was sung by Joey Lawrence. There’s a YouTube video short where we see Andy as an adult played by the same actor who gets a delivery in a box. It’s pretty funny.

2025-10-22 01:19:56 +0000 UTCI just checked. There has but it was smaller and the small one had a white outline to help separate it. This style kinda threw me off tbh. But that’s just me, it probably doesn’t bother most

2025-10-22 00:47:45 +0000 UTCIf it comforts you at all Amber Chucky's actor (Brad Dourif) is an incredibly nice guy in real life. I met him at a Lord of the Rings con about 20 years ago. He wheeled a special needs girl in to meet one of the cast she missed the signing for. He played Wormtounge in LOTR and his daughter has been in several Chucky movies with him. Bride of Chucky is my favorite.

2025-10-22 00:39:10 +0000 UTCThe reason why Child Play is a child’s nightmare is because we live through Andy, we want a good guy toy, we want to play with him and we are terrified of how our friend become a monster.

2025-10-22 00:30:50 +0000 UTCSame experience when I was 6 I first watched this and I end up living in a foster home on a bunk bed . Every night I would have a nightmare that chucky will climb up and get me. One night I found the courage, and kicked him off and he was yelling and faded out I’ve never had a dream after so I like legit defeated my nightmare villain

2025-10-22 00:26:18 +0000 UTCI can relate, though the doll movie that terrified me as a kid and gave me nightmares was Trilogy Of Terror with Karen Black
