When Medger Evers is shot, the horror the actors convey is palpable. The entire cast is terrific. Sissy Spacek outdoes herself as Mrs Walters!

I second the earlier recommendation to see the film, Hidden Figures, another inspiring story about the crucial role African American women played in America’s efforts to beat the Russians in going to the moon. Another great film about how African American women completely influenced the evolution of rock and roll music as the background singers in the 60’s and 70’s.
