🫶Geoff has such a great sound. I love his tone above the very lowest of low notes. And I do enjoy his gentleness here. All flowers to him for making these public. You can tell he’s thought a lot about how to do the song, and includes some more unusual choices. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 My fav version of “Blackbird” is this one from totally amateur high schooler Emma Stevens. It’s sung in Mi’kmaq. This too is a gentle version. No theatrics at all. But Sir Paul loved it so much he invited her and her music teacher (who’s playing guitar on the audio track) to his concert and gave them a shout out from the stage. https://youtu.be/99-LoEkAA3w I’m not a singer, so I didn’t understand the transition was such a tough this. I thought it was just croaky old me. 😆 Tim Foust says sliding through one’s whole range is something he encourages bass singers to do. Maybe it’s easier for these guys. Thanks for the reaction. I’m here because I like the detailed analysis.

Sorry you had such a rough week - it must be something in the air, or maybe the super blue moon because this week has been nuts all over! Thank you for unabashedly sharing your delight in music with us all.
