A little Creator Transparency

This week has been hard. Not every week can feel amazing, even when I'm doing what I love and feeling so incredibly lucky.

When the mental health decides to be lame, ain't much you can do about it. When the mental health decides to be VERY lame, when you're already fending off burnout a little, then suddenly things can snowball a little.

I'm in a WAY better place now than I was earlier this week, and I truly don't need a ton of sympathy comments because I genuinely just wanna move forward and keep things strong and powerful moving forward :) I wanted to share it for 3 reasons

1) Explain why there's no patreon content this week, including the extra Six content I promised (sorry)
2) Explain, sorta related, why there will be no R&A going to YouTube this upcoming Wednesday (but I'm working on something fun in its place!)
3) Most importantly, remind you that you're absolutely not alone, even on the days where life gets you down with no real rhyme or reason. You're allowed to be sad some days <3

I appreciate all of you and your constant support, I hope to see you for a wonderful premiere on Monday, and I can't wait to hop back on the wagon and bring you guys some of the awesome content I've got planned for these upcoming weeks. See you soon!

(Oh, and speaking of awesome content, if you made it to the end of this post... I did just spend about 40 minutes talking to Teagan Early this morning, and you patrons of Edeity tier or higher are going to have something VERY exciting coming your way in 6 days. Mark the calendars :D )

I just read an interesting article that I may try this year. It was from a person who decided that instead of asking for a birthday party (with the presents that usually come) for her 70th, she asked all of her friends and family for a list of experiences from simple (cup of tea at a local cafe with a friend) to museums) to more complex that she could do with her friends and families (or suggestions from friends and family that she could do alone). Then she arranged the top 70 and tried to do that during the year. I am not that old yet, but I think it is such a creative way to work on "Just putting pants on and moving forward" from day to day and week to week. I may prepare such a list for this upcoming year for my milestone birthday of 50 and see how it works.

Mental health is no joke and do not play with complete burnout. It has taken me four years to get back to about 75% of what I was capable of doing before a complete burnout. I am not sure I will ever be able to do 100% of what I could do before and I know I will never be able to do that 100% in the same amount of time as I used to could. I wish I had understood that mental health and work/life balance was important BEFORE burnout happened! Thus, take what you need.

As a neurodivergent individual with my share of very lame mental health days , I appreciate that you are willing to share that part of your life with us. I know from personal experience that anhedonia can make even your favorite activities dull and difficult. I'm glad to hear that things are looking up. That has to be a relief. We'll be here whenever you are up to posting. Take care of yourself and cuddle the puppies. ✌️❤️🎤
