Not sure if anyone's actually answered your question about Achmed but I'm pretty sure it's a plastic prop, hence why it's so shiny under the stage lights lol

Nobu Akuma

Yes

Taleena Woodruff

Is anyone else having trouble around the 1 hour and 4 minute mark? For me, the video stops playing, and if I try to start it again, it starts back at the beginning no matter what I do. I can't get past that time Edit: saw the description and that the part continues in the next video

I love StarKid!! I just came back to Chile because I was in Chicago watching them for first time in live, with the musical VHS Christmas Carols, they're so great. And Twisted is one of my favorite!!! so I came here to watch the full reactions :)

Letty

SAME, tho, and their shows get better with age, so it may be a little less jarring of an experience. Their new horror Cinderella show should be out in early 2025, too.

Panda Creations

Aww, buddy. This must be your first Starkid. They're all like this lol The growing bafflement and horror is priceless.

Panda Creations

I’ve been (re)obsessed with twisted for the past week and have been watching reactions and the show non-stop. The other thing I watched non-stop was your YouTube, WHEN I SAW THE ANNOUNCEMENT THAT YOU WERE DOING THIS, I clicked on the patreon link in the hadestown finale SOO FAST. I’M SO EXCITED!!!!

Itti Bitti Lilian

I'm so excited for you to watch this, I died laughing with you. I love starkid so this is the best of both worlds!!

Blakely W

Actually the rule is no water during Starkid Musicals. Also I would LOVE for you to react to the horror/comedy trilogy of The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals, Black Friday, and Nerdy Prudes Must Die.

Kenzie Garbiel

Twisted is a LOT and has a lot of messages that end up being mainly jokes and making fun of certain shows. But it’s so fun and the music slaps, and the second act is just. so well done.

Ratatosk Clarke

Would absolutely LOVE to see Book of Mormon on OAR, this has been an utter delight

Alex Gukgak

Oof🤣

Phoenix Mackenzie

Mortius has now convinced me that apparently, like yawns, spit takes are also contagious!! LMAO!

Alanna Youngblood

Got a bit impatient and wanted to see if you'd finished Hadestown yet on patreon, but was blown away to see that you're starting your first Starkid show! Twisted gets so so good, you truly have no idea the ride you are in for. Definitely couldn't pass up the chance to witness your full unedited reaction to one of my all time faves the moment they're uploaded, so here I am <3 Don't beat yourself up over being a bit slow to make the 2D connection lol, you seem like you are just the right amount of familiar with golden/silver age Disney in that you are already doing far better than most reactors watching Twisted tend to do. You following along line by line with the "One Jump Ahead" retelling, and catching all the references/lifted lines from other Disney movies in "Dream A Little Harder" shows that you really know your stuff, and are going to have that much more fun covering the rest of this show than if all the meta jokes were going to go over your head. Also if it's any consolation, those first two songs are about as bad as it gets with the explicit jokes and language in this show. Or any of the Starkid shows really, so the worst of it should (with a few notable exceptions) already be behind you. You very much did an accidental trial by fire by starting with Twisted, even if it is a fan favorite. Just off the top of my head Trail to Oregon is probably the only one that genuinely matches Twisted's level of freak, but even that show doesn't throw 10 f-bombs and 3 shits at you in the OPENING NUMBER...

Cinnamoone

The puppets are cute and colorful, but that doesn't stop them from still being (mostly) person sized bugs. A prominent character in the show is played by big three person scorpion puppet, which would probably be something you'd like to mentally prepare yourself for if you do eventually decide to check it out despite your phobia. It's still a very good show, although something like the Hatchetfield Trilogy or Firebringer might be better options for you as follow ups, if the family unfriendlyness of the jokes in Twisted doesn't scare off your non-starkid audience too much for you to justify diving back in for more lol.

Cinnamoone

oh my gosh i love starkid, i hope you check out their hatchetfield series (the guy who didn’t like musicals, black friday, and nerdy prudes must die) all three have really great stories and music and have a very different vibe than twisted or their other comedic based shows LOL

rodeo

I joy I feel having you react to this is amazing. This is one of my favorite musicals and I can't wait to see your reactions to it

ColorQueen_ 64

Hehe, I love experiencing something brand new with you all. Did anyone else notice that during the intro, we hear the same orchestral movements that play at the start of Beauty and the Beast? I think it's in the public domain, 'cause I hear it a lot. A Moment Later: Oh my. That makes sense now!

Kory Misun

Well, this is hysterically funny. It’s such at Disney/fairytale parody that I’m having a weird & wonderful experience. I enjoy that you’re along for the ride!

Dorothy Rosenberg

So excited to see you react to the rest of this and hopefully other Starkid and Starkid related shows. They have a particular type of humour, but the actual bones (music and acting) are genually amazing.

Sydney LaRocque

I've watched a few musicals Jeff Blim (Aladdin is in). If you want more not family friendly material but has good comedy, The Guys who didnt like musicals and Oregon Trail are the 2 I watched. Oregon Trail is based off the old pc game (has multiple alternate endings based on what we decide) and the Guy who didn't like musicals (think musical apocalypse where zombies just sing in a show tune theater way, while the guy who hates musicals tries to escape from being turned into a musical loving zombie). Still on the fence about watching Nerdy Prude Must Die, but youtube keeps recommending it, so I'm bound to watch it eventually. So if you want to add them to ur list of things to react to, these are my recommendations. Not sure how to share links to the videos or anything. And this question is extremely random, have you considered reacting to beetlejuice the musical (the full show isn't on YouTube [that I can find] but all the song scenes are. I mean seriously Alex Brightman is in it as beetlejuice (do I need to name his hazbin hotel characters?)

PhoenyxFyre

You found this musical? I found this randomly thinking it was based on a book series. Can't wait to see how you enjoy this weirdness

PhoenyxFyre

Tbh if you were on Tumblr in 2014ish you might recognize Jeff (Aladdin) from memes! Starkid was super popular around then! As much as I love it, you should probably NOT watch Starship by the same group - awesome music but you might not like the puppets.

CyberCrow

I'm so happy to see you do this ! I drag any friend who likes musicals to watch the vid

Robert Beyda

I can't wait for you to go to Hatchetfield >:)

Tyler Owens

So excited to see you reacting to this! Honestly, your reaction is worth admission. I hope you enjoy this and hopefully fall down the rabbit hole that is Star Kid. They make so many good shows. Some parodies and some original work.

Shay-Thelogicaldreamer

Which originally was a Les Mis reference because Lea Salonga was the singing voice of Jasmine, so he was half right lol

Shay-Thelogicaldreamer

Omg I adooooore Starkid yaaaaasss!!

Broody Gaming

Starkids Great! I'd highly recommend the hatchetfield trilogy for some other stellar Starkid musicals.

Greyzone

Sorry, it just reloaded to show the other comments saying the same thing

Bennett

YES YES YES

Daniel Wilson

It stops at 1:04:19 even thought the length is 1:23:55… is anyone else having this issue

Bennett

OMG YES. The hatchetfield trilogy is amazing

Luke

I NEED him to watch the Hatchetfield Trilogy if he likes this show. Horror comedy musical isn’t a genre I thought I’d adore but here we are

Mafidon

I'm so excited for this! Unfortunately like some others it seems as though the video stops around an hour and four minutes in. I hope this can be fixed soon so we can finish the last episode!

Wren O’Brien

Same for me. It’s weird because the thumbnail has the right video length, but the actual vid is only 1:04:19

Logan Anderson

Why does the video end in the middle of part 3?

Luke

“All this for a loaf of bread” is a line from Aladdin “I’ll have you head for a trophy, steet rat!” “All this for a loaf of bread?”

Daniel Wilson

That was quite the abrupt ending

Snoozey Bear

YYYYYEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS STARKID WOOOOOO

Luke
