I absolutely loved this book! It’s for sure my favorite out of the 4. Only thing is I wish Grandma Katara would’ve got to see Jinora get her tattoos/the ceremony though.

The music for Jinora's ceremony wrecks me every time and is aptly named "Service and Sacrifice." When Jinora stands and reveals her tattoos just as the music reaches the crescendo, it was cinematic AF. I think Season 3 is for sure the best season, but my personal favorite is Season 4 because... well, I guess we'll get there :)

((the platinum zaheer refers to is the shackles confining her, which she rips out of the wall but is unable to bend them)) i think it’s supposed to be mercury but idk if it’s confirmed what it actually is. but logically if it was platinum it wouldn’t be able to be bent into or out of her.

2024-06-10 18:50:33 +0000 UTCYeah, I mean, I wouldn’t say Korra has more trauma than Aang, they just experienced it differently. Aang went down in a storm and when he woke up a full century had passed, his entire culture had been wiped out, and all but one person he knew was dead. I think that probably made it easier for him to compartmentalize, especially with the war going on and having to learn the other elements on a time crunch. There’s also the physical trauma they each go through in the second-to-last season finale. Aang was electrocuted and died in the avatar state, and still experienced pain and difficulties moving for weeks. Korra was poisoned and nearly died in the avatar state, and ended up paralyzed.

Can wait for the reaction to certain moments in Season 4. And if there will be a new "mami" added to list (quite a long list it has become haha)

So I'm definitely gonna wait until y'all finish season 4 before giving you my take on the series as a whole. I think it's been about 4 years since I watched the whole series last. I *didn't* know about a planned, then failed season 5 - I only found that out a week or two ago online. I'm definitely looking forward to the next season of live action Last airbender. Has there been word of a planned date? Or are they back filming yet?

All bending scenes are creative in some way. I always wonder what they’d do next to incorporate different disabilities! …Also calling her fish fry after she got electrocuted was wildddd. Amazing reaction. Cannot wait to watch the next season with yall!
