2024-06-14 18:24:48 +0000 UTCI think this comment kind of helped me figure out the main reason that I’m so split on this season. While Korra’s arc this season is really well done, I wish it had come earlier in the series. I’ve always said my favorite version of Korra is Book 3 Korra, and I think in large part for me it’s because I have a lot of experience with depression, so it’s always hard to watch a favorite character go through it.

2024-06-14 18:17:55 +0000 UTCThe thing I love about book 4 so much is that in previous seasons, people really wished Korra went through a journey to recover what she lost,for example her bending in the first season, she just got it back instantly because it had to be a closed ending in case they didnt get to make more seasons. It wouldve been cool if they had known for her to go on a journey in season 2 to work on getting her bending back. Now finally with 2 seasons made together they could really focus on the consequences of these fights and give her a real recovery arc
