So in dnd, your ability scores, like intelligence can range from 1-20. 10 is the average. I believe Grog is a 6. So just above a potato...

The way we have VM scheduled we will be right on time to start the new season with you guys 😁

Hi friend! Thanks for joining our community! 😁 We recognize that familiar face from YT. Can't wait to hear all your insights for this show!

'I would like to rage!' Grog is a Barbarian. Barbarian class gets special powers when they are in a Rage (bonus durability, damage, various other things). But they only get Rage for a certain amount of time, and the player has to declare that they are invoking Rage. So it's kind of a meta thing, of a player specifically saying they would like to rage.

Oh, and several types of dragons can polymorph some number of times per day maybe indefinitely (depending on edition of D&D and so on).

William Timmins

D&D dragons have various breath abilities: fire, lightning, acid, poisonous gas, possibly some other stuff I forget. Generally they are divided into Chromatic dragons (colors: red: fire, blue: electricity, green: acid or gas (I forget), white: ice), and are evil. There are also metallic dragons that are good (gold, silver, bronze). They are IMMENSELY powerful, though it depends a lot on age.

The problem solving and teamwork in the dragon fight really captured the spirit of D&D. Also... Doors! It's a bit of an inside joke, but in their play through, the group would have terrible luck opening doors. It's also a fun way to gauge personality trait. How do you open a door? Check for traps? Use magic? Pick the lock? Knock it down? It's a subtle way to express each character's abilities and personality. Much more to come and I'm glad to be on this ride again!

And of course I love that you guys are getting into it! It will be fun to watch the new season with you guys when it comes in October!!

When this story starts they had already been together for a while. They didn't start streaming this campaign until partway through their campaign. The first two episodes was something that was pre-stream that was new to all fans and used as a setup. The rest of the season is one arc from what was streamed. I won't say anymore than that because I don't want to spoil any story stuff. But Sylas's voice is done by Matt Mercer who is the dungeon master for Critical Role. And you are correct on Delilah's!
