So, finished and it's waaaay past time of this episode, but I'll add a few minor things. The Ghoul didn't let her have some of his water before because it was radioactive. He didn't want to force it on her and instead wanted her to make the choice to drink radioactive water to show her that you have to do things you may not want to survive. The whole "ass jerky" scene? In the games, ghouls are radioactive as hell. It's been implied that the reason he ate the forbidden Jerry is that since he was out of vials, that little bit of radioactive could tide him over until he found some more. Snip Snip is a medical bot. His original programming is still in place, so he will still want to heal patients if able. The organ harvesting was probably coded in after which is why after she was taken care of, he then knocked her out to harvest. Side Note: if you can handle this episode and The Last of Us, I highly recommend you check out Train to Busan. I HATE horror and zombie movies in general, but after heeding the advice of someone else, I'm glad I did. The storey is amazing and it's such a great drama over thriller in my opinion. When I think about it, the zombies are always secondary now to the characters and arcs.

Thanx for pulling through. 😊 I always liked horror movies, so by that point in my life scenes like this don't scare me as much anymore (especially when it is done so over the top), but I guess for people how never watch these kind of movies it is hard to live through the tension and violence (and the sometimes very dark humor 😅). The 5 minutes between the Old-testament-y a-finger-for-a-finger scene and Stephanies water breaking are easily the weirdest, most brutal, bluntest and at the same time funniest 5 minutes I ever saw on tv...😂🙈 This show does not hold back...😂 Chet and Norm are another wonderfully odd couple in this show. The way Chet is written and played is so unique, funny and likeable - he is pure comedy gold and yet very touching. 🤩 Yes, the "Super Duper Market" is still exactly that - a shop to trade organs or body parts or (apparently) feral ghouls for whatever you need...🤑🤢 In the ghouls case, vials to survive. These events where indeed a loud wake up call for Lucy and she looks awesome in her "new" outfit, but she still has a long way to go to adapt to everything...😨🙈 As the other comments explained, not everyone turnes into a ghoul...🤔 With everything we learn about Cooper Howard from the last episode (his naivety and innocence), it is fair to say that he saw a lot of his former self in Lucy. His comment ("You're me, just give it a little time") referred to this, not necessarily to his looks. Even though Lucy understood it that way. If you want to know more about all those comments about communism around Cooper Howards storyline, look for the "communist witch hunt" that took place in the US in the 50s. Everyone was so afraid of communism as a threat to the american way of life, that the FBI - lead by Edgar Hoover - began to hunt and arrest people who where accused of being communists all over the land (or put them under an occupational ban). Soon it was a witch hunt that people used to get rid of others who they simply didn't like or that stood in their way somehow, by simply accusing them of being a communist (also called "red" or "pinko"). These were dark times and that chapter of american history the show is referring to...🤔 That the mom's pip boy was used to open the vault gives you a strong hint that there is something shady about Betty, because she said she and their dad buried Lucy's and Norm's mom (and her pip boy). If they did so, how did the pip boy get into Moldavers hands? 🤔 The mom is from vault 33, the dad came from 31 and moved to 33. Kinda like we saw in the beginning with Lucy and Monty (if they would have been real vault dwellers). Monty would have moved from 32 to 33 for marriage. That is the "triennial trade" between the vaults, they were talking about in episode 1. 🙂 Finally, there are a handful of lines in this show that stuck with me because they commented on very powerful moments. The emotional "Is it your thumb or mine?" from Cooper Howards terrified daughter is one, Lucy's famous "Okey, dokey" all over the show and in this episode it certainly is "Golden rule, motherfucker!" The moment Lucy grows up. This may be my favorite line over all...😍 P.S.: Yeah, there is a lot to say about the ways to eat certain body parts, but that's not for here...😅 (seriously, that was close...😉🙈)

2024-08-27 07:52:18 +0000 UTCNo spoilers: in the game you get radiation poisoning within certain locations, or by eating food or drinking on the surface. With that being said, there’s “radaway” which takes the radiation sickness away. To my understanding ghouls become ghouls through genetics, not everyone becomes one. Most die or become feral automatically. The “vial” thing with the ghouls in the show IS new (don’t see it in the game) , but I’m guessing it’s a certain “radaway” for ghouls to stay themselves.

2024-08-27 03:06:43 +0000 UTCI don't think this is a spoiler cause you asked! But stop reading if you don't wanna know more about ghouls in general! But anyway, becoming a ghoul doesn't just happen, it comes when there's a lot of radiation (like being near an atom bomb exploding). Most ghouls immediately go feral, but some just remain themselves. And can go centuries without showing signs of going feral. But once they start showing signs, it's degenerative and they'd need the drug to stop the progress.
