Battle of the Shows Results!

- To find out which TV show people wanted to see me react to the most.
The Plan:
- To make a video asking for suggestions on what TV shows you want to see reacted to by me.
- We then made a list of every suggestion listed and number them, this ended up being 348 shows. (We removed non English content as I can't read subtitles well).
- Then I would use a random number generator to put them into groups of 5 shows to add to a poll. This ended up being 68 polls which we named Round 1 of this experiment.
- Round 2 consisted of the 70 shows that won in round 1 being put into 14 groups of 5 randomized again. (Round 2 had 14 polls)
- The winners of round 2 went onto round 3 which were only 14 shows. They were also randomized and put into 2 groups of 5 and one group of 4. This was round 3. (This means there was only 3 polls in round 3)
- The final round had only 3 shows left and they were Cobra Kai, The Walking Dead & Doctor Who.
- After the 24 hours were up there were over 950 votes with a 45% lead, the results indicated that Doctor Who was the winner of the Battle Of The Shows.

Cobra Kai - (5 Seasons / 50 episodes - 2018-On-Going) - 27% (roughly 264 votes)
The Walking Dead - (11 Seasons / 177 episodes - 2010-2022) - 28% (roughly 273 votes)
Doctor Who - (14 Seasons / 201 episodes - 2005-On-Going) - 45% (roughly 439 votes)

I don't currently have the time for a new show right now, but... the results of this poll will be taken into heavy consideration when a spot is opened up.

It's obviously "work" for them, but I for one think that if they don't enjoy whatever they're watching, they should stop (give it 3-4 episodes before deciding). I gotta be honest. I don't think Doctor Who is up her alley, but I could be wrong. I enjoy the show though, even though I wouldn't rewatch it.

2022-12-04 18:06:57 +0000 UTCI just can't see how Cobra Kai realistically ended up in the final poll over far better shows, also, 100% know she will not enjoy the low budget sci-fi cheesiness of Doctor Who. Quite possibly the cheesiest of all sci fi shows. It will definitely taint her views on all sci-fi shows in general.

2022-12-04 14:34:04 +0000 UTCThis was certainly an interesting experiment to be a part of. Lots of unexpected choices in the polls. And I'm sure you're glad that Walking Dead didn't win. Not to sound mean, but it's always interesting to watch your reactions to zombie-themed episodes, though even I would agree that asking you to watch a whole show centered on zombies is probably asking too much. But if I'm being honest, I wasn't rooting for Doctor Who either since I'm not a follower of the franchise. All the best with whatever comes next.

2022-12-04 13:06:06 +0000 UTCAs far as Doctor Who, it might be a good while before you finish it because there's a classic series of 26 seasons as well. As far as future polls, reassess the runner ups in small groups as spots eventually open up. Some of those shows might be eliminated from contention by pilot tier selection before they come up as options. I want you to eventually compare all the magic school shows after they get selected. You already have a good idea of most of them.

2022-12-04 12:33:00 +0000 UTCIt was certaintly interesting and I'm very happy with the winner, although I don't know if this was the most effective method. For one the number of shows probably way overcomplicated things. It'd probably be easier to limit the number of shows to enter these polls to like 20 or 30 or something and then make a poll where you can choose 5 shows in decending order, with a point system. The show that's picked first gets 5 points, the one picked last gets one. Then the points are added up and the 5 shows with the most points are taken into consideration. Limits the amount of shows you need to keep track of and makes the choice easier for us. It also means there's a lower chance for a subgroup of your fans to come away... disappointed for lack of a better word, because their show didn't make first place. This is obviously just a very rough idea on my end and would need some fine tuning to say the least (for example finding a website that allows for the kinds of polls I talked about) but I think it's worth taking into consideration, if you decide to do something like this again in the future. Overall this was pretty fun to take part in and I'm definitly excited to possibly see you react to Doctor Who in the near future.
