This feels like a filler episode; very generic threat, paint by numbers plot and resolution; with a dash of an excuse to have Shephard fight himself - and not even a good doppelganger fight, for 2008. This could have been a good mind fuck episode, if they didn't lean so hard into what was obviously dreams and what was reality. The call back to the dream VR tech was okay, but probably leans too much into the importance of the dream element - as if it it was a living dream monster or something and that's where it had to be defeated. Which didn't even prove true, since it was actually stopped by being shocked with the defibrillators. Rodney didn't even need to go into Sheppard's dream and John didn't need to fight himself; it was literally all Keller... Half a Rose, but mostly because if Jewel Staite's in it, it can't completely bad...

Clear reference to evil Star Trek Universe. Or possible a reference to evil Shan. If you know ... Wow, another long term character from show dead. What the hell to the producers of Stargate have against Doctors. First Doctor Fraiser. Then Doctor Beckett Now Doctor Heightmeyer Plus a few other unnamed SG1 doctors/scientist with PHDs
