The Virgin Games proof of concept.
Added 2017-06-13 19:13:10 +0000 UTCI mentioned a while back that I was going to toss some of the Virgin Games story into a game format and pitch it past all of you. It took me about three hours to plug close to 34k words of content into story format in Twine (The program I use to make games) but I've finally taken the time to do it.
Think of this as a proof of concept. Let me know if the setting interests any of you and share your thoughts on it. It will likely be a while before I start production on this (Got to get Inheritance up and running properly before I start investing any serious amount of time into another project.) Think of this as a likely candidate for a project once Wanton Cove is completed.
This is only a fraction of the content currently written for the story, only one of nine girls who have content within the setting (Couple of them have a similar amount of content, though most have less.)
If/when this project enters active development, it will be done as a sandbox setting instead of a static story like this is. This build is just a way of presenting all of you with the setting to get feedback.
If you would like to see this setting become an active project, please take a moment to comment below, and/or click like. I'll be looking at the feedback and likes as a gauge of interest.

Good or bad, I take feedback in the nature that its given. The setting is heavily inspired by the theme of Battle Royal, a manga. As for the sandbox style setting, I actually see Wanton Cove as a narrative driven sandbox. While The Virgin Games would be a sandbox, it would not be as story driven but would be set up in a similar manner. Something I've been trying to do is bring a team together in the hopes of presenting art to all of my projects. As for the random prize, there would be clues to lead you to it, as well as a lot of other stuff you could stumble across by chance. Thank you for the detailed and well thought out reply. I appreciate the time you took to comment.

2017-06-14 15:29:23 +0000 UTCI don't think you'll like my feedback, but I'll try to be as constructive as possible! Thanks for sharing your work and putting an afternoon into it, anyway :) I think feedback is the least I can do to repay the effort. To be brutally honest, I like neither the premise nor the proposed gameplay. The main theme is just horrifying. The conceit of the show is preposterous, yet somehow not outlandish enough to make it as detachably unrealistic as, say, Wanton Cove. At the same time, it feels completely unnecessary; you could just as easily have a similar kind of story in a more far-fetched scenario without the repulsive 'institutionalized rape for fun and profit' overtones, like a contaminated water supply on an alien planet. I can send you an outline with more detail and plot twist, if you like. As for gameplay, the idea of a sandbox game doesn't seem particularly appealing to me in general, let alone in twine. Personally I prefer games with a well-defined narrative structure that doesn't require a bunch of clicking through random events at several locations to hunt for content only to be left wondering if there was crucial encounter x at hour y on day z that I missed, and with a well-defined protagonist with solid motivations and to whom NPCs react based on their choices. Much better to have one protagonist with a branching narrative than nine with a linear story. Sandbox games only really work if there's a visual landscape to explore, in my opinion, even if it's just clickable buttons or hexes - and what exactly does a randomized prize location do for the player? Can you stumble across it by chance, and is that really satisfying gameplay? Or if there is someone disclosing its location acting as a switch, does it really make any difference whether it's always in the same place or not? To end on a positive note, there were things I did like - the fierce protagonist and the F/F content :) Do keep those! ;)

2017-06-14 06:03:28 +0000 UTCFair enough, I've put out feelers for an artist a few times. Always I get a few nibbles, but never anyone who is able to commit to any period of time. I'd much rather work closely with one or two artists for an extended period of time than a new one every couple of weeks or so. I really hope that I can generate the resources needed to take on a small group of creators, a couple of artists, a full time coder, etc. I see that as something of a long term goal: Pay the bills, start a retirement fund, build my pornographic game empire, . . . Likely in that order. :P

2017-06-14 03:45:08 +0000 UTCJoeForest is commissioning art for one of his games from Sorrow. But I think two others he has began to use Daz. I really didn't mean to have them do the artwork but to ask them if they know people. Sorrow is on HF I think. I am surprised people on tfgamessite has not asked to volunteer. My art ability is limited to stick figures and Power Point objects. LOL Good luck. It does seem most successful games here are made bu a group of people.

2017-06-13 23:46:09 +0000 UTCI enjoy the girl/girl stuff in moderation and try to present at least a little bit of it in most of my projects. The Virgin Games would have a lot of room for that kind of content, and I hope to present some in Inheritance between the sisters as well.

2017-06-13 23:42:02 +0000 UTCI have someone I have worked with just a little bit in the past who has expressed an interest in doing something like that, but I'm waiting to see what they come up with for a little side project before I invest a lot of faith into their ability to produce material regularly. I also have a personal friend who I might be able to get into stuff like that, but with him, I'd need to be able to pay him like a full time job to get him away from his current work place long enough to accomplish much. I'm actually hopeful that if my Patreon account continues to perform well that I can eventually hire one or more full time artists for projects. Unfortunately that might be a ways down the road still. The 3D rendering stuff is something I've toyed with getting into myself, but between my lack of talent with art, and my love of writing, I never seem to find the time to delve into it. Never spoken with Akabur (They always seem busy with their own projects.) I love JoeForests work, but if I remember correctly, they are getting their art from Sorrow?

2017-06-13 23:40:26 +0000 UTCActually read this back on cyoa ages ago. Always been into F/F games so a win for me. But I would go with LiquidMetalFox's suggestion and run a poll, you will get better results and info quicker.
2017-06-13 23:39:25 +0000 UTCSorry I don't. But you can ask Akabur or JoeForest. I know some people used DAZ 3D. That program has different 3D people that you can put clothes on and pose them. In Second Life there are wireframes of people you can modify and put a skin on. They are 3D too. You can actually make some animation by moving their limbs. Some of the dance routines are very complex and can use chairs, beds, poles to dance around and on. There are dance routines for couples or even 3-somes.

2017-06-13 23:24:20 +0000 UTCKnow a good artist who might be willing to work with me? I'm all for presenting it in comic form, but my artistic talent is pretty much non-existent. The idea would be to create a sandbox setting for a game with completely randomized content. The map may remain the same,, but each time you played, the prize would be in a different location, there would be a host of random content for events, and you'd be able to interact with the other people on the island (Depending on how willing they are to interact with you of course).

2017-06-13 23:04:17 +0000 UTCThe Virgin Games is a story at this point. No real game. You could make it into a comic book story. If you want to give options that influences the behavior of the MC you could add corruptions point and still have as a cartoon settling with still frames as one goes down the path.

2017-06-13 22:58:11 +0000 UTCVery true. Thank you for taking a moment to post. I'll likely toss up a poll once everyone had had a chance to check out the build assuming I don't get a lot of feedback on it.
