I've been experimenting a bit with a new way to play out scenes, but there's still too many issues that needs to be fixed, maybe in 1-2 updates. The idea would be to have a small menu with icons on the side of the screen during scenes where you can select the animation to played.
As per the Patreon poll, I've started working on the 'trip south', that is, the next main quest! As always, these quest require more time to finish, but there will be smaller updates along the way.
Made a lot of progress in Blender, as I've mentioned before I could actually start making animations there, but there's a lot of small issues that you run into once you actually start testing your workflow. Currently testing the best method for rigging body/facial expressions and handling deformations + jiggle physics and hair movement. Also testing an addon which lets you simulate natural muscle movement, so if you got an athletic character for example, you really see those abs work during excersise.
Been testing out Cascadeur which is a program that assists & finetunes when animating using ai. You still have to make the actual animations yourself though.
Also been testing out rendering in Unreal Engine, it's faster than blender + got Lumen lightning and stuff. But exporting from Blender into Unreal is a... process. So we'll see if it's actually faster in the end, compared to just directly rendering in Blender.

Regarding Mac!

As I understand it, RpgmakerMV games that are developed and 'deployed' on windows, might not run on mac, especially not the newer mac versions.
There is a way you can run it on mac by using a local server, but it will require a little bit of effort on your part:

If I can find some cheaper mac I might buy it and try deploying a compatible version of the game that way. But I'd have to go looking for some second hand stuff .

2024-04-18 20:50:57 +0000 UTCI thought I fixed that... I think there should be an item in your inventory called "unfuck me", it will disable collision, which should let you access the book on the table

Farmgirl and I unpack the tools, finish the basic work and then when I try to finish the three select options to finish the room, I can't reach/activate the symbol on the right side of the room on the table above the plant. The other two (cabinet or bookcase and stock charts) work just fine. Is there some trick to this?
