Status update (08/11/2024)
Added 2024-08-11 17:50:16 +0000 UTCI'm happy to announce that Stellar Justice 0.4 is out for grabs!
The changes the new version brings are the following:
Added a new slave cycle to the game, where the player is sold to a gang of bandits on a desert planet (the cycle automatically starts once you get captured by the pirates).
The cycle has 10 repeats. If you disobey 5 times, you will be hanged in order to serve as an example to the other slaves. If you disobey fewer than 5 times you will get an ending when the MC is broken to the point she can no longer think about being free.
Removed the secondary weapons from the inventory. I'm not ruling out the possibility of having them. But right now the game doesn't have any, and this can be very misleading.
Added more dialogue to the prisoner enslavement path.
Added more dialogue to the pirate encounter.
Fixed a bunch of typos :)
In other news I started to watch tutorials to the Ren'Py engine. The engine was recommended to me by another creator as a means to make better marketable content. So far I'm fairly satisfied with how Stellar Justice is, but for instance Desert Nightmare: Alescia has a story structure that is more lose, so I think it would be an excellent starting point for this little endeavor of mine. I could rename the title to either Desert Latex or just shorten the name to Desert Nightmare, and it could make an excellent introductory tale to The Zeta Sector for those who are yet to encounter it in html.
I cannot give any estimate of a release yet since there is a lot of learning to do and I will need to do a lot more renders in better quality in order to make it work. So this is merely to serve as a heads up that something like this is on the lookout.
At last there was another vote that came to an end, The Zeta Sector 1.0.7. This was a fairly straightforward one, since the pony path got 7 votes out of the 10, 1 from a Grand Admiral and 5 others from a Vice Admiral. So the 1.0.7 slave extension will definitely be a pony one. :D
I attached the file to the post just in case you are curious :)
