i've come to realise that the reasons any young impressionable man likes JP is literally entirely how he distills Jung's psychology as mass marketed self help. if he didn't have that mild understanding of Jung he'd have never gotten anywhere. while JP talked about the archetypes etc and their application in feverish and delusional terms, Jung himself contributed to some really interesting developments, and it's a shame young men try and understand the world through jp's interpretation of Jung rather than think about the source instead
